In the quiet, secluded Pamilacan Island of Bohol, near the
Philippines, arrived a new pod of dolphins. Their unique trills
filled the air with their new found excitement. The dolphin
family is consisted of Sunshine, her brother and sister but not
her parents. They met a tragic end in a fishing accident,
which is why the family felt they should move and start a new
life in the Pamilacan Island. Their family is among the
greatest leapers in the oceans. Storm and Silhouette, older
brother and sister of Sunshine are very skilled, unlike
Sunshine who is unable to because of her fear of heights.

A few days have passed by and the pod
was getting used to their new home.
Silhouette and Storm was already making
new friends with the crab and the seahorses.
Sunshine was thrilled to discover all of these
colorful corals under the sea and to greet all
of the small fish and shrimps. Sunshine’s smile
always widen when she finds jet-black starfish
that matches her eyes. color.

Although she was having an incredibly good time, there seemed to be a gang of
bully around.
“What are you doing here?” spat Rojo, the head bully with bubbles bursting out
the top of his head.
“Yea, you better leave before we beat you up!” snapped Ferdian and Matius.
“Why are you picking on us?” asked Storm.
“Well, first off, we don’t appreciate any strangers ‘round here and second, this
is OUR territory.” Rojo threatened as the gang tried to back them off.
Storm was valiant, he refused to leave.
“Oh okay, let make a deal shall we, who ever in the pod manages to leap higher
than me will get to stay.” said Rojo cunningly as he smirked
What the pod did not know about is that Rojo was extra tough, he can jump
several feet higher than an average dolphin. Everyone agreed with the deal, but
inside Sunshine was quivering with fear. The competition was happening now.

Right underneath the surface all the way down to the ocean floor, crabs, fish,
jellyfish, seahorses, all the sea creatures you name it, they were all there. Crowded
around, they scattered up the sand while each of them was trying to get their best view
of the competitors.
“Bonjour, ladies and gentlemen. Today, we have gathered to witness the greatest,
grandest event we have ever held since our picnic party. We are judging which dolphin
can leap the highest. Now our first competitor against Rojo the Champion is…
Silllhouette!” announced Jacques le Lobster.
Silhouette raced towards the surface gradually picking up speed and jumped about 10
feet high in the air. Rojo beated her by 5 feet higher with a mid air flip, everyone
watched without blinking.
“That was a super move Rojo, but better luck next time Silhouette!” congratulated
Jacques, “Up next we have The Tempest Storm competing against Rojo the Champion!”
After seeing the incredible height Rojo had leaped, Storm narrowed his eyes, he got
ready for his turn and shot right out the surface 20 feet high. Storm managed to
beated Rojo by several feet high.
“Oh me Oh my, what a jump! Storm has won Rojo by just a few feet. That was really
close Rojo but not enough!” said Jacques, “Now, our last competitor… Sunshine!”

There was complete silence.
“Umm, Sunshine? Hello… Sunshine?”
Sunshine felt her insides turn into liquid. The water around her seemed to heat up
and made her feel all dizzy. The bullies began to suspect and question her.
“Oooh, what’s the matter? Is little Flipper here scared of heights?” teased Rojo.
“Leave her alone! She is not in this!” demanded Storm and Silhouette.
Could not stand the name-calling and teasing, Sunshine raced off far away,
trying to out swim her fear and the bullies. The crowd was left confused.
"Everything is under control ladies and gentlemen, but I am afraid that the
competition is over. Thank you for your participation today! Au revior!" said
Jacques as he cleared the situation.
