TO MYSELF
FOR ALL THE HARDWORK
I LOVE YOU

Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time because he was a great basketball player
Guille is shooting at his local hoop.
CIRCULAR REASONING
Circular Reasoning happens when an argument is used to prove itself.
Here, Guille used his argument "Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time" as reasoning for his argument.
He could use other reasons, such as "he won 6 championships" or "he scored a lot of points"
I was once mugged by three Seahawks fans, so they are all armed robbers.
All Seahawks fans are armed robbers.

After getting mugged, Santi is in the hospital.
HASTY GENERALIZATION
Hasty Generalization occurs when someone makes a wrong or uninformed conclusion based off little information.
Here, Santi is making an uninformed conclusion about Seahawks fans (all of them are armed robbers) of off little information (his experience getting mugged).
If Santi wants to make that claim, he could look for more information that supports his claim.

All Seahawks fans are the extremely nice
Oh, is that true? Because I was once mugged by three Seahawks fans
Those aren't true Seahawks fans. We will never do such a thing.

Guille and Tian are discussing which NFL team has the nicest fans after a Seahawks game.
NO TRUE SCOTSMAN
This error occurs when someone excludes an exception to a rule or generalization to make their statement true.
Here Guille, when presented with an exception of his generalization (All Seahawks fans are nice), he excludes it, saying that those three fans that were the exception don't belong to his group of Seahawks fans.
He could use words that aren't so definitive like all, since you could have exceptions

Guille doesn’t want to win. He left the game on Sunday after suffering a concussion
I heard concussions are pretty serious
According to my dad, who has suffered one concussion in his whole life, they don’t affect you at all.
Nico and Santi are talking about concussions outside of the hospital
FALSE AUTHORITY
This error occurs when a person of no authority or credibility is cited in a topic they do not know about.
Here, Santi (right) cites his dad, who has suffered one concussion, so he thinks that his dad's experience with concussions is enough for him to be trusted.
Instead, Santi could cite a doctor or a medic, someone who knows about the effects of concussions.

We are terrible. If we lose against the Grizzlies, Davis and LeBron, are going to request trades, and we will not make the playoffs for the next 10 years.
Nico is complaining about the Lakers' bad play lately, and is scared something could happen as a result
SLIPPERY SLOPE
This error occurs when someone believes that when an action begins, it will cause another action, no matter what. This consequence is usually worst than the first one.
Here Nico is saying that if the Lakers lose against the Grizzlies, it will cause 2 of their players to leave the team, and the team will not make the playoffs for the next 10 years.
Nico, instead could find other reasons why Davis or LeBron might want to leave, or reasoning for why his team won't make the playoffs for the next 10 years, and use that as reasoning.

The Patriots are obviously the best team in the NFL team, they are 7-0 we are winning the championship again.
Yeah, well you are not funny and your shoes are ugly.
Nico and Santi are discussing which is the best team in the NFL
AD HOMINEM
This error in reasoning occurs when a instead of attacking the person's ideas or arguments, his character is attacked. Now, the person attacked has to defend himself, and the discussion is forgotten.
Here, Santi attacks Nico by saying he is not funny and his shoes are ugly. He never talks about what Nico said about the Patriots being undefeated.
Santi could talk about the argument and leave Nico's character out of the discussion.
