Tony's Perfect Ten
Dedicated to my Uncle named Tony and my little cousins Cali and Lorenzo.

Tony the poodle was just waking up after his long evening nap. He yawned and stretched out his paws until he couldn't anymore. His bright white and shiny fur gleamed underneath his bedroom's light. "Goodmorning world!" he yelled. Tony is always happy, especially after he is well rested. He danced, pranced, and even sang around his cool brown room like he had just gotten the best birthday present ever!

A little while later, after Tony was done being silly, he sprinted outside into his favorite forest. The small forest was full of gorgeous blue, red, yellow, orange, and pink flowers. The trees seemed to smile whenever Tony walked past them. Tony loved the forest, and the forest loved Tony. The poodle walked around, exploring every last crevice of the forest. It was like he had a map in his brain of all of the beautiful sights to see.

Tony continued to adventure around when all of a sudden he saw his worst enemy, Tucker the wolf. "Tucker!" exclaimed Tony, "Stop destroying the flowers!" The big wolf ignored Tony and continued to stomp on all of the flowers. Tucker was a very rude and selfish wolf. He is covered in white and gray fur that is very rough. His voice sounded like nails on a chalkboard. Tony wished that he would listen to him sometimes.

STOMP!
Stop Tucker!
Finally, after a dreadful amount of yelling, Tucker stopped destroying all of the lovely plants and flowers. He slowly walked up to Tony, and began to talk about an upcoming talent show. "I have lots of talent, so I am going to the theater to participate in a talent show," Tucker said," And if you come to the show and win, I will never come back to this forest." Tony immediately accepted his challenge and thought about how nice it would be to be at peace once and for all. All he had to do now was come up with and idea of what he could do.

Deal!
The two animals departed from the forest, and Tony went back to his house. "Cali!" Tony yelled once he was inside, "I need help!" Cali was Tony's older sister. She was a normal sized, fluffy mutt. Tony loved his big sister because she is always kind to him. "What do you need Tony?" she replied. Cali was upstairs in her colorful room filled with tons of sparkles. "Can you help me decide on what I should do at the talent show?" he asked. "Tucker told me to come and I don't know what to do now." Tony waited for an answer. It was the longest 10 seconds of his life. Finally, his sister said, "Sorry little bro, I've got to finish my homework. I won't be done until tonight." Tony yelled back up the stairs, "Okay!", and he began to head back outside.

As Tony approached the vibrant forest, he began to think about the decision he had made. Should I have not of said yes? What would happen if I made a mistake on stage? What if I don't win! The poodle couldn't seem to get these thoughts and questions off his mind, until he remembered that if he loses, nothing would happen. Tony could not let Tucker get under his skin. If he did, he knew that he would lose. Tony decided to kick back and take a nap underneath his favorite tree in hope of better luck. Tony decided to not care about what Tucker says, and he never will from now on.

As Tony fell asleep, he began to dream about winning the talent show. Other animals were throwing tons and tons of flowers at him. Everyone in the theater was cheering for him. Animals were treating him like he was famous. Then, one of the judges came up and gave him a huge, golden trophy made out of bones! He could eat it for the rest of his life. Finally, Tucker never came back to the forest and Tony could eat his huge bone in peace.

When Tony woke up after his big dream, he knew that he had to win. He really wanted to become famous and have as much bones as he wanted. Tony started to brainstorm ideas of what he could do in order to win. At first, he thought about doing magic. Maybe he could pull a rabbit out of a hat. Or, he could make a coin appear behind someones ear. But, Tony didn't know how to do this, so he had to think of something else to do.

Maybe Tony could do gymnastics. He could do a few backflips and frontflips, and even some cartwheels. The poodle could run around the stage, doing every trick he knew. He knew that would impress the judges, but unfortunately, Tony also didn't know how to do that either. He would just have to think harder.

After a truck load full of thinking, Tony decided that he would sing and dance for his act. He knew that he could do it, but he didn't know if it would impress the judges enough to win. However, that was the only thing the poodle knew he could do without messing up. He was just going to have to try it out and see what happens. When he was sure that was what he wanted to do, he left the forest and started to walk to the theater. After all, it was starting to become night time.

As soon as Tony arrived at the theater, Tucker was called up to preform. He was going to try to do magic, just like Tony was thinking about doing. Tony watched from behind the curtains as Tucker magically made a coin appear from behind one of the judges ear. The wolf even made himself disappear! But, when Tucker was trying to pull a rabbit out of a magic hat, the rabbit jumped out of it and ran to the backstage area. Everyone in the audience was screaming and laughing, while Tucker sat on the stage very sadly. Tony saw Tucker's face and decided to help him. The cute little poodle ran backstage and chased the rabbit around everywhere, until finally, Tony caught the rabbit.
