What Type?

Most people opt for those cute persian kittens, with those squashed noses. But there are many others to chose from,too,because persians are highly expensive and rare.

You can get kittens from a breeder,

or a rescue shelter. Orange tabbies look so cute,or how about a night-dark black one?or a snow-colored white one?

If you want a newborn kitten,you

shouldn't take one,because that

will mean taking the kittens away

from their mother. You can only

take newborn kittens if their mot-

-her has either abandoned the ki-

-tens or has passed away.

If you want a kitten,then the typical age to take a kitten is two-three months old. The kitten can move around and eat easily on it's own.

Practically,the cutest age a kitten is at is newborn! since that is a bit rare,the next cutest stage is when it's two months old.

What will she eat?

Kittens,especially those who aren't more than two-three weeks old, should drink nothing but milk. Not cow's milk-special kitten-food milk from the store. Usually the rescue shelter people tell you which brand is best for them. If your kitten is two weeks old,

you may have to wake up in

the middle of the night to feed

it! the most ideal timings are

11:00 in the night,then 3:00 in

the morning,then 6:00 in the

morning! that's the night-time feed.

The day-time feed is very typical-11:00 in the morning,

3:00 in three in the afternoon, then 6:00 in the evening. kittens may occasionally want to drink in between.

As soon as the kittens are six weeks old,you can start mixing special kitten food in the milk. Most kittens like the taste and will eat it up eagerly. When the kittens are at this stage,the night-time feeds will decrease. You'll only have to feed her at 10:00 pm and 7:00 am. But the daytime feed will increase-although every cat has different timings of eating.

As soon as your kitten is seven weeks/two months old,you can start giving it the special kitten-food whole-although make sure she is drinking a little milk once a day,too.

Although cow's milk is very benefecial,it's an option. Special kitten-food milk is still safe,and your kitten may find it more appealing. On the whole,just give cow's milk once a month.

When your kitten is six months old,you may start giving her actual cat food. If your kitten doesn't like it,it's okay. She will like it as she grows older.

Space to play

Kittens need space to play,as most pets do. If you live in an apartment,then it might be a teeny bit hard. You'll have to take your kitten out to the park everyday,because kittens don't like cramped spaces.
