There once lived a bird. His name was Margian.
Margian couldn't fly! No other bird never knew why. He wasn't hurt, no! He just couldn't fly. So when the birds went South; Margian stayed in the same spot. It was hard for Margian.
Chapter 1 - Bird's Problem
Margian awoke from his nice, warm nest. He saw the other birds devouring seeds. "Hey, you guys were eating without me?" Margian questioned as he walked over.
"You didn't wake up in time," Said one of the birds. "Sorry."
Margian sighed.
Margian walked outside. There, he saw his friend Tony.
Tony was flying in circles as Margian watched.
"Ahem."
Tony stopped and looked at Margian.
"Heh, sorry!" Tony said.
Margian looked down.
"You still can't fly, Mar?" Tony asked.
"Yup..." Margian said.
"That's sad. All of the birds are going out tonight for a flight competition."
Margian was even more upset. The flight competition happened every 2. years and the winner would get a bunch of seeds!
There would be some time when Margian's friends would make him fake wings out of seeds, worms, grass or even snakes! How crazy!
They wanted Margian to be apart of everything that happened. But, sadly, Margian still couldn't fly..
Margian would sometimes sneak outside while the birds slept inside their nests in a small cave. Margian would spread his wings far and wide and what happened? Nothing.
It was like Margian was stuck against the ground--- never being able to experience flying.
It was hard. Very hard.
Chapter 2; A Bird's Midnight Wish
Margian woke at exactly a minute before Midnight.
The other birds were gone. Meaning, they were out for the flight comp. Margian wanted to go outside and explore but he knew the bird's would be back in 20 minutes. So he flew to the top of the cave.
He grabbed yellow blankets and seeds and placed it in his nest so the other bird's would most likely assume he's sleeping when he's really exploring outside. He quickly ran out, and went to a nearby field where worms, seeds, and rodents would be.
He pecked for worms.
He pecked for seeds. Believe it or not, he even found a snake.
