Once, a very long time ago, there were four children born at the exact same time. Each of these children had genetic mutations that gave them special talents no one else had. But, because of the odd things they could do they didn't have many friends and most of the time they felt misunderstood and they felt like the odd things they could do were curses on them. As they grew older their talents grew and they became powerful. I'm going to tell the story of each of these four children that are currently all teens.

Alina

Alina moved to different schools throughout her whole life because her parents kept getting job offers that were, "too good to pass up" as her parents put it. So, she never stayed in one place long enough to find any friends. So, when her mom announced she had found a very good paying job in Michigan and that they would be moving again, Alina was not surprised. She remembered that day well, it was the day when she and her parents got into a big fight that lasted through the night.

In the morning her parents had come to a solution they thought would work. Alina's dad explained that while she had been crying in her new bedroom they had talked and agreed that they would never, ever move again if she agreed to move to Michigan. Alina had thought about it, and it seemed like a good deal. Never move again she contemplated. "And how soon will you break your promise," she had asked, her Talent which was water started to take over her emotions and her hair turned into a rushing river that washed over her. "We won't, ever," her dad had promised with a solemn look Her parent knew about her strange Talent. Her mom had been looking down at her hands the whole time. Her face looked tried and defeated, but a little bit happy too.

So, Alina agreed with her parents and they moved to a small town in Michigan. Life was going well in Michigan for the new family. Alina loved summer in Michigan, getting to swim in Lake Michigan and she made some awesome friends that also had some of the same struggles as her. She loved her new school and her new friends and her new life. She felt like she finally belonged and she and her new friends learned how to use their Talents to help people in need. So far she has saved 100,000 people that were about to die drowning. Alina finally belonged somewhere, people recognized her and she wasn't just the "new girl" anymore.

Melody

Melody was short for her age and always had been. Melody started singing lessons in 6th grade and started doing theater in 6th grade too. Melody also likes to do art, she has a cartooned style when she draws. Her mom is an art teacher at one of the elementary schools in her school system. So, she always feels like she has a reputation to keep up and she felt the pressure at school a lot. She has always lived in Michigan and went to the same school every year, but didn't have many friends

Melody's school system was small and she was shy around people she didn't talk to daily. She sat alone at lunch and she kept to herself most of the time. Melody also joined band and she plays the flute and piano. But, Melody had recently discovered her Talent, earth. One time, when Melody was excited about a band concert she started making stunning flowers grow around her. Another time, she was upset because she had to miss her cousins birthday party, then she had made the grass in her backyard turn brown and wither away. Melody soon learned that it's difficult to control Talents especially powerful ones like hers.

Even though her Talent unnerved her parents they lived with it and tried their best to help her. Then her life changed when she started 7th grade. Two people had just moved to Michigan that has Talents, and another person that had always been at her school revealed to her that she had a Talent too. They soon became fast friends and practiced their Talents with each other. When they became experienced with their powers they also started saving people from catastrophes. Soon, they became known as heroes and she had friends by her side and she overcame her shyness when she started getting fans all over the world. She finally didn't feel alone.

Kaylie

Kaylie's parents were divorced. They divorced when she was younger so she couldn't remember much. She has one younger sister and some step-brothers and sisters. She spends most of her time at her mom's house and she loves to hang out with her sister and her mom. She had lived in Michigan her whole life and loved living there. She had a huge family with many cousins and aunts and uncles and had huge celebrations with her mom's family. Her dad and step-mom didn't really think about Kaylie and her sister often.
