All of my life I have always loved 

reading. I read everyday, yes just for 

fun. I often read books in just a few 

days, I'm not a fan of letting them drag 

out. If I do then typically I do not finish the 

book. So when I'm into a good book it is 

difficult for me to put it down.

It is hard for me to only pick one favorite 

book. When I was young I read all sorts of 

books, we had to get AR points, and I 

always got so many more than I needed. But 

if I only had to pick one it would be Abarat by 

Clive Barker.

As I grew older, my tastes in books have 

changed. Lately I have been reading a lot of 

history books, mainly about crime. I know it's 

strange, but I'm fascinated by it. My favorite 

book is The Killer Book of Serial Killers.  

My favorite childhood author was Dr. Seuss. 

All of his books were go creative and 

beautiful. His collection of books as a whole 

were simply a delight. 

My favorite adult book authors are Tom and 

Michael Philbin. They are the authors of my 

favorite book The Killer Book of Serial Killers. 

Both are excellent writers and do amazing 

research. 

Using literature to get kids to read is a 

great idea. I think that kids need to start 

liking reading when they are young. When 

I was young my parents always read books 

to me and they always had very colorful 

pictures and that is why I was so into the 

stories. I think that if children are read to in 

class and need to see the creativity of the 

authors, and how wonderful reading can be. 

One of my biggest hobbies is of course 

reading. I love it and everything about it 

and how I can get so involved and into the 

stories. I live with my family my mother and 

father. I have one older sister who is 

married, and I have a boyfriend. I work and 

the Black Hills Works in one of the total care 

homes, and I absolutely love my job!
