Story begins when the King and Queen of Sheropa had a daughter named Alexandria.

Born into the perfect Royal Family, something about young Alexandria was different than the rest....

As she grew older, Alexandria developed very bad hearing in one ear, intense blue eyes like never seen before, and a streak of white hair.

How is she royal with that odd hair!

With the consent questioning by the town, the Royal parents took Alexandria to the hospital.

Even though they knew their daughter was special and perfect how she was, Alexandra was going deaf in both ears, something was wrong.

Alexandria was diagnosed with Waardenburg Sydrome. This explained her symptoms of vivid eyes, white hair, deafness, and even discoloration of her skin.

She felt defeated and that she wasn't good enough to be in the royal family.

What would the town say...?

But everyone in the Royal family told her how special she was and she was determined to show everyone that her syndrome made her unique!

Alexandria realized that Waardenburg's cases were 1 in 40,000 and there were 4 types. She saw that other cases had been found, she knew she wasn't that different.

Although Waardenburg has 4 types, the symptoms vary and most of the time have very little effect internally.

Alexandria did have some hearing loss in both ears and discolored skin, but she was grateful to be able to live her normal life and be healthy!

She even learned that Waardenburg Sydrome is most commonly autosomal dominant!

This means that one of her parents carried the gene.

Her mom carried the gene and it has been passed down from Queen to Queen for 4 generations.

She never knew her mom had waardenburg! Every queen has dyed their hair and didn't have intense blue eyes, or wore contacts.
