
This is the story of a young girl named Dorothy. She lived on a small farm in Kansas with her family and dog named Toto

One day, a tornado came to her farm. Her whole family climbed into a storm shelter, but Toto ran away so Dorthy ran after him. She eventually found him, but it was too late and her in Toto were stuck in the storm.

Dorothy ran into the house with Toto and it started flying. She looked out the window and saw dust all around her until she feel asleep.

Dorothy woke up but realized that she was no longer in Kansas anymore. She found herself in the land of Oz. Oz was a place of great conflict caused by the Wicked Witch of the West.

Dorothy stepped out of her house into the land of the munchkins. She then was greeted by Glinda the Good Witch. Glinda went on to tell the story of how she had tried to fight the wicked witch for years but was never successful in defeating her.

Dorothy then looked to the side of the house and saw that the Wicked Witch of the East had been crushed underneath her house. This Witch originally had been good, but turned her ways to be very controlling.

The Wicked Witch of the East had on these ruby red slippers. Glinda picked up the shoes and gave them to Dorothy. These shoes gave her the power to defeat the Wicked Witch of the West.

The Wicked Witch of the West appears and is furious about Dorothy taking the slippers. She leaves by telling Dorothy that she will find a way to defeat her. Glinda explains to Dorothy how the Wicked Witch has a plan to take over Oz and everywhere else around it so that she will be the greatest leader in the land.

Glinda tells Dorothy she must go to the Emerald City in order to be sent back home to Kansas. The Munchkins in the land are very against Dorothy going out to defeat the Wicked Witch and think that this plan is too violent. Despite this resentment, Dorothy sets off onto the yellow brick road.

The Wicked Witch of the West went back to her tower to meet with her mother. The witch's mother showed great support for her daughter and backed her plan to defeat Dorothy and spread her rule across the land.

As Dorothy is following the road, she stumbles across a scarecrow. He is stuck on a stick, so Dorothy helps him down. The two get to talking and the scarecrow tells Dorothy that all he wants is to end poverty in the land, create peace, and to one day hopefully go to space. Dorothy promises to help him and the two continue on the journey.

As the scarecrow and Dorothy were following the yellow brick road, the found a tin man in the woods. He was rusted up so Dorothy helped the tin man to move again. Once he was free the tin man expressed to Dorothy his dream of stopping the spread of the wicked witch's rule in Oz. Dorothy told him that they were on the way to see the Wizard of Oz and she would help him to get his dream.
