Magna Carta
Magna Carta In 1215 this document gave limited power of
the King & established that all Englishmen
have certain rights.


Jamestown
In 1607, Jamestown was the first permanent community in America.



Was in 1619, it was the first representative government assembly
in the colonies.
House of Burgesses



Mayflower Compact
This document was made in 1620, which was
outlining the principles of self government
for the first settlers in Massachusetts.


New England Colonies
Was a democratic, their lives are centered of religion,& their
education was important.





Middle Colonies


Southern Colonies
If you owned land you could vote, the religion was mixed, & if you
were wealthy you could own land.



French & Indian War
A war fought between France & Britain.



Treaty of ParisThis treaty ended the French & Indian War, in
1763. Britain gained all of east of the
Mississippi River.



Proclamation of 1763
An order in which Britain wont allow American colonies from
settling west of the Appalachian
Mountain. Which took place in 1763.

Sugar Act
Passed taxes on Sugar, Molasses, and other products shipped, in 1764.

Stamped Act
In 1765, required a stamp showing tax had been paid on legal and
comercial documents.

Quartering Act
In 1765, the Quartering Act was passed by the Parliament that required the
colonies to house and supply British
soldiers.

Townshend Act
In 1767, a series of laws that suspended New York's assamble & create taxes on goods
brought into the British colonies.

Boston Massacre
In 1770, A dash between British soldier & Boston colonist. They all fought for
freedom.

Boston Tea Party
The dumping of 342 chest of tea into Boston Harbor by the colonist to
show how strangely oppose to
taxation.

Intolerable Act
A series of laws made to publish Massachusetts colonist for Boston tea party passed by
parliament.

Lexington
and
Concord
Its the first battle fought in
the American Revolution
took place in Massachusetts
on 1775.

Declaration of IndependenceIn 1776, A document was made that flatted
the colonies declared Independence from
Britain's.

Saragota
This battle was the turning point of the American Revolution b/c America
started winning.

Articles of Confederation
Document adopted by continental congress in 1777 but was approved in 1781

Yorktown
The last battle of the American Revolution. American victory! :D



Treaty of Paris:
This treaty ended Revolutionary war,confirming the Independence of U.S.
& setting boundries of New Nation.



Constitution Era 


Northwest Ordinance:1787
Ordered the colonists homes in a better way for them to now who's
land was who's.
