Franklin High School

Once upon a time, it was a normal day in Virgina during 1938, Liz was an innocent girl that lived in Virgina, one of the most beautiful and elegant destinations throughout the globe. Elizabeth Sara Donavan, or otherwise known by her friends and family as Liz, was a reserved child who had hopes and dreams to become successful in her future life style yet lacked social skills and popularity all throughout her years in high school. Liz would walk alone to and from school and was a shy girl who would sit in the back and day dream about becoming a princess or finally being invited to one of the popular parties she had heard and dreamed of attending. However, that day, she truly did not understand the turn a single day, or in this instance a single tab could have on her entire life. That single day changed her view on life as a whole.

Liz attended Franklin High School in the local town and had the same routine after school- to walk alone and enjoy the trails while she daydreamed of becoming a princess and becoming a popular girl in her school who had friends. But, this day felt different, she felt a breeze of cold air gust across her shoulder with a feeling of evil coursing through her veins. Though she thought it was just a feeling of despair and dread she had in her life, it was a girl that she always saw talking in herds of people about parties and other things popular kids at her school would talk about. Her name was Leslie, that name rushed in Liz as she remembered all prior experiences with her in the blink of an eye. Leslie grabbed her shoulder and quickly smiled, but shortly after the smile, the words "hi, Liz" left her tongue. Leslie followed through by saying, "I haven't ever seen you at a party this year, all the kids around town gather around my house in the city every Friday night, you should come". Right after, Liz took a second and responded with "thank you so much for the invite, I will consider it". Liz had a lot to think about once she got back home, but she didn't realize how much of a ride she would be in for.

Liz rushed straight to her room when she got home, her brain rushed back and force as she thought about what could happen at the party. She threw clothes all over her room when she was thinking about if she should go and if she somehow decided to go, what she would wear. She had heard good things about these parties and heard about the drugs and drinking that happened which sparked a beacon of fear in her soul. She finally gave up on her choices of over thinking and decided to make friends with Leslie that she needed to go to this party. What she did not know is the taste she got from a single tablet was going to change her image of popularity for ever.

Liz arrived to the party and went straight to feeling lost in a plethora amount of people that sat there talking to one another like it was no problem. She had recognized half the people but felt unorthodox with her ability to socialize with the people that she called classmates. But after walking past a fire and smelling the air that felt cold and heartless, she heard a familiar voice in the back of her ear that caused her hair to spike up. Leslie greeted her with her friend Albert, both of them seemed to be happy but a feeling of evil from the two approached Liz quickly. Albert started off by introducing himself but he told her to make the party more festive she should try these tablet pills that were brand new to the town. The pill was wrapped in paper and small enough to fit on her tongue, peer pressure got the best of her as Leslie kept tugging on her to take it and she finally did. Little did she know that pill would be labeled LSD or lysergic acid.

Liz finally decided under the pressure she had felt and the thought of popularity she dreamed off to take the tab by mouth. The tablet seemed to be a powder extracted from a rye seed with a piece of paper covering it. After she put it on her tongue, she thought nothing of it but the effects started to hit after 2 hours. Her body felt dizzy and heart beat was running faster then she had ever felt it before. Leslie and Albert looked at each other with a smirk of evil as they laughed and realized they found the perfect person to trick into taking the LSD. The synthetic drug would be labeled as a hallucinogens that would cause the victim of the drug to experience discomfort, dangerous thoughts and visions people should not ever have to see. Her body temperature started to increase with her blood pressure and eventually her pupils became dilated. The schedule one drug may not be addictive but Liz was feeling the pain in her body. After taking the tablet by mouth rather then snorting it, she knew she could not be addicted to it, but she could feel why people loved the feeling. She started to feel sick, and started to see things she had never seen before.

Liz began hallucinating. To her, it was not just visions. Liz watched her classmates transform into medieval creatures, fairy tale beings, etc. The lights twinkled, and everything Liz touched rippled. She was blissful for a moment, until her classmate Leslie began transforming into a terrifying creature, resembling a dragon. Leslie's hair grew long and dark, and her fingernails began to resemble claws. An evil laugh erupted from Leslie's mouth, and a fire like substance shot out. Liz knew that it couldn't be real... but everything felt so vivid. Leslie began charging at Liz, whispering things Liz could not understand. On impulse, Liz fought back, and pushed Leslie into a wall. Liz then ran out into the street. The trees screamed at her, and the Virginia darkness seemed to come alive in the shadows between houses. Leslie followed Liz out, and they began circling one another in the street. "I'm not afraid of you" Liz gulped. Leslie laughed again, and her fingers grew long. "Then why did you run?" Leslie asked. Liz charged at her, "I know this isn't real!!!" She screamed, knocking Leslie down, making the beast fall unconscious.
