In the small village of Doffodil there lived a family of four. The father of the family was the owner of the Albatross Inn and for generations the Albatross family had owned this Inn. The fathers name was Martin Albatross, his wife was Elizabeth Albatross and he had 2 children their eldest a girl and youngest a boy.

The girl's name was Lila and the boy's Lucas.

One day the Albatross family went on a boat to an island near their home. The family loved walking in nature, but usually didn't have time because they constantly had visitors at their inn. This day was special. Lila and Lucas knew their parents wanted to tell them something big but they didn't know what it was.

As their mother thanked the boat captain, Lila and Lucas thought about what they thought their mother and father needed to tell them. Mr. Albatross thought about the food he was going to have for lunch.

As they walked to their favorite picnic spot Mr. and Mrs. Albatross silently worried that their children wouldn't take the big news well.

They new it would take some time for them to adjust to it, and it made them anxious.

The family arrived at the picnic spot. As their parents set out the food, Lila and Lucas played in the grass.

The Albatross family sat down to eat and the parents started to tell their children the news.

My children. As you probably know, we, your father and I, have some news to tell you two. You two are going to have another sibling! It will be hard to take care of the baby while running the Inn, so we've decided to take a big offer for it. Which means we will be moving.

Mrs. Albatross gave her children some time to think about that.

"WHAT!?" Lila exclaimed. "Why didn't you tell us sooner?" The Albatross children had a lot of questions.

Where are we moving?

Is it a girl, or a boy?

Will we still go to the same school?

What about our friends?

Will we still have to share a room?

On the boat back Lila and Lucas thought about the circumstances. They were excited because they had never lived anywhere else, but they were also angry with their parents, they would have to change schools, make new friends, and they really didn't want another annoying sibling.

That night at the Albatross Inn

The kids handled the news well.

Yes.

Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope.

Lila decided to sleep in the woods just that night so that she could collect her thoughts beneath the stars.
