July is a very nice girl who lives in a beautiful and quiet village called Heavenland.

She is 12 years old and she lives there with her family. Her life is very quiet. She goes to school and she has got a lot of friends.

But one day something very bad happens all over the world. A threat comes from afar...

July hears on the news that this monster is called Coronavirus and is coming from China, it is killing thousands of people around the world. Everybody is beginning to be afraid. July is very scared, too.

The mayor announces that all schools will be closed as many work activities to avoid other infections.
She wants to help the world and asks her mother how she can do it. She answers that she can help by staying at home.

What can I do at home?

You can dance, sing, cook, watch tv, read a book, draw, colour and do many other things.

July understands she has to stay at home, not to be hit by the monster. She studies, plays with her brother and does many other things but she gets bored and can’t meet her friends. In spite of this, she manages to find many activities to do at home.

July decides to do a lot of gymnastics because this helps her not to think about the monster but after a while, she starts to get more and more bored and she starts thinking about going out.

July says to her mother she wants to go out but her mother answers that if she wants to beat the virus she has to stay at home. Her mum explains that this small sacrifice can help many people, especially the elderly like her granny.

We will fight to the end and never give up. It will not be easy but we will do our best.

After a while the news is better and July and her family are a bit happier, so they hope they can see their friends and relatives again but July knows that it is still necessary to stay at home, because the coronavirus hasn’t stopped completely.

July hears on TV that coronavirus mainly affects older people and she is afraid that her grandmother will get sick, so she asks her mum if she can visit her granny but her mother replies that she has to stay home because it is still dangerous. July is afraid but she doesn’t discourage.

Ok, we will win this battle and hug each other again, but to do so we must stay at home and fight all together!

July’s parents bring granny her shopping once a week. July makes a little gift for her grandmother to tell her that everything will be okay and asks her parents to bring it. It is a drawing with a rainbow with the phrase "Everything will be fine".

But,some days later July’s grandmother starts to have a cough and a temperature so July’s father calls the doctor. The doctor gives July’s grandmother some medicines, he recommends to stay at home and to keep a safety distance.

After a few days July’s granny is sent to the hospital and she is very sad and scared because she will be alone and she knows she will not meet her granddaughter for a long time.
