It was like any other ordinary day when, "Kalini!", hollers Kalanis mom. "What!"yelled Kalani desperately wanting to know what her mom was wanting. "Breakfast is ready!" Kalanis mom yelled back. "Oh, that's why I smelled bacon" Kalani whispered delightedly.

After breakfast Kalani headed to school. Everyday she picks up her friend, Meg.

She picked up Meg and headed to school. "Guess what?", Meg said looking for an answer. "What?", Kalani replied clueless. "Our favorite band is coming today and we can get their autographs!", Meg replied happy as could be.

School went by slowly as both girls were thinking of meeting the band. It was going to be a dream come true! "Is school over yet?", Kalani thought in her head. Then all of the sudden, "RING!",sang the bell. It was time to meet them! "Yay!", all the kids yelled. We all ran outside, but they were not there. Everyone sat and waited.

Where were they? Kalani and Meg were concerned. They had a feeling they were not coming, when all of the sudden their principal walked out and told them the bad news. " It turns out they got stuck and will not be coming, I am very sorry.", he pronounced sadly. Kalani and Meg were devastated so they started walking home. "Man, I was really looking forward to meeting them.", Meg said as they approached her house. "Me too.", Kalani replied sadly. Meg left and went to her house, leaving Kaloni alone.

Kalani started walking home when all of the sudden there was a deer standing and staring directly at her."Come here, it is okay.", Kalani whispered, hoping the deer would come to her. It got close but then it ran! "Oh no!", Kalani thought. She started chasing it. She ran and ran and ran, chasing the deer, until she fell into a dark hole!
