My name is Lorena! That's me in the pretty pink shirt and orange skirt and orange shoes! It was a regular day in Miss. Mary's Science Class. Science was never my favorite subject because it was so boring!

I love Miss. Mary, but she was a science nerd! What even makes science interesting? She even gave us these challenges every weekend about "Science outside the classroom." How gross! More science?

Think about- Why does rain

disappear after it rains?

Miss Mary said "Okay class. It has been raining all week and has just stopped today. Your weekend challenge is to figure out why rain disappears after it rains! Go off my scientists!"

Passing all of these puddles on my way home made me think about why Miss. Mary thought they were so cool. All the puddles do is just disappear. Why is that so interesting to her? I still did not get how science was cool!

As I walked away, I heard a voice call "Hey!" I turned around and a blue stick figured boy leaps out of the water.

The name is Rainy! I am a part of the rain! There is a lot of interesting things about rain and puddles if you take the time to learn. What is your name?

My name is Lorena! You sound just like my science teacher, Miss. Mary! She even asked us to figure out why rain disappears after it rains. How am I suppose to know that magic?

This sounds like learning more science, but maybe I can finally have an answer for Miss. Mary. I never answer her challenges.

"Let's start right here, Lorena! Right at the puddle we are at." Rainy said with complete excitement. "Okay. What is special here?" I asked Rainy.

"Well this puddle formed because it was raining, right? The fancy name for when it rains is Precipitation! This is one part of the big circle of life that water follows." Rainy said sounding more and more like Miss. Mary.

"Rainy, I appreciate your help, but I am confused. Water has a circle of life, like humans? Also, what is participation? Like when you participate in a science fair?" I asked very confused.

"Yes! That is absolutely correct. Just like how humans go through stages of life like being a baby, child, teenager, and then adult, water does the same thing!" he said. Rainy then laughed as if I had said a joke. He continued "These stage we are currently on is

precipitation, not participation!" he

said correcting my vocabulary.

"Precipitation is just when the rain falls from the sky and onto the ground! Now to think about Miss. Mary's question, Lorena. What happens to the rain after it rains?" Rainy said.

"Now that it is warm enough, the rain is finally going to disappear! Lorena, this is called Evaportation!" Rainy said. Before I could even think about what he said, we began traveling into the sky! This definitely seemed like fun science to me! Whee!
