Easter is one of the Christian holidays and I and my family always welcome it. During this holiday, we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. For 40 days before Easter my family is fasting. On Easter Sunday we go to visit our grandmother and grandfather, the whole family meets there. Grandma always prepares for our arrival, but we also don't indulge. My mom makes Easter cake and a lot of traditional dishes, my dad buys all the products, and my brother and I clean the flat, help our parents. Mom and grandmum make up the basket. Then we go to church to sanctify our basket, we go home to eat. On this holiday, we say the greeting “Christ is risen!” and the answer is “ Truly Risen!”. People are welcome to the Ascension.

Happy Easter

Easter is one of the greatest religious holidays. We celebrate it according to the Julian calendar. This year my family have Easter on April 19. Before it we keep a lent which lasts 40 days. The last week of it is called the Week of Passion. On Thursday before Easter we bake Easter cake and clean the house. On Saturday we paint eggs and make a holiday basket putting into it Easter cake , cheese, eggs , ham and sausage. Then we get it blessed in church. On Sunday morning we go to the Holy Mass After it people greet each other with the words: - Christ is risen! - Indeed has risen!

 After the Mass we go home and have a holiday breakfast. Then we visit our relatives. Then we visit our grandparents.

Easter

Easter is the main Christian holiday which always comes in spring. It celebrates resurrection of Jesus Christ. For 40 days before Easter my family don`t eat meat and milk dishes. We get ready for the holiday by painting eggs, baking Easter cakes and cleaning the house. On Saturday before the holiday my Mom makes an Easter basket. She puts into it ham, sausage, cheese, painted eggs and of course Easter cake. We take it to church and the priest blesses the holiday food. Easter Mass begins on Sunday early in the morning. After it we have a holiday breakfast and eat the food from the Easter basket. My grandparents usually come to celebrate with us or we go to visit them.

Easter is my family's favorite holiday. The whole family prepares for it in advance. On this day I paint the eggs.  Mum prepares tasty dishes and makes a holiday basket. My mum and dad go to church to bless Easter eggs and other dishes.

     At Easter, we gather at the festive table with our whole family. On this day Jesus Christ rose from the dead. Everyone is greeted in a special way: "Christ is Risen", "Truly Risen". It is a tradition of my family to visit relatives. There is joyful celebration and hope for the best around us.

     This holiday unites and brings people closer.

This year Ukrainian people will celebrate Easter on April 19th. On Easter day, people prepare traditional delights for the family. Easter isn’t Easter without traditional Easter dishes - paska and Easter eggs - pysanka and krashenka. My mother always bakes a paska by herself.

On this holiday my family and I usually go to the church. Also we like to gather together with our relatives and have our Easter lunch. The table is always full of fish, meat and dairy dishes in particular.

As for our family traditions on Easter day, despite all the culinary treats on the table, the meal should start with Easter cake. Adults chat together, while kids play different games like bytky or ‘egg tapping’. The object of the game is to be the last one standing with an unbroken egg.

This year we celebrate Easter on April 19th.

Usually we celebrate Easter in our grandmother's village.

The day before, my grandmother and I paint colorful eggs. Grandma prepares many delicious dishes. On Saturday we consecrate Easter baskets.

On Easter morning, we go to church. After worship, our family tastes hallowed eggs and sausage. Near the church, the children play Easter games.

On this day everyone is greeted: Christ is risen! Truly Risen!

Hi! My name is Sophiia.

Our family is very fond of this holiday. We celebrate Easter on Sunday. We go to the church in the morning. After that, our relatives come to our home. We have got a great lunch together. My cousine and I like to look for chocolate eggs which parents hid in our flat. All members of my family prepared very carefully to this festival. Also, we have a tradition to give presents to each other. We can’t do our traditions very well because of quarantine. We like Easter so much, because we get together and celebrate this great festival.

We laugh,we eat, of course,we tell funny stories from childhood and we spend time together.Since now quarantine we are not going to church,but we are still celebrating the Resurrection Cross.

In our family it is traditional to go to grandma's and bake different dishes together; and while we bake cakes and different dishes,dad runs into the shop.

Hello! My name’s Anastasia. Our family's favorite holiday is Easter.

Easter is one of the most important Christian holidays. The exact date of the holiday changes from year to year but it usually falls on April. The Sunday before Easter is called a Willow Sunday.

On Easter Sunday we all go to church. Back at home we all sit down together at the table and have a consecrated meal.

We visit each other on this day and exchange colorful "Easter eggs". We also go to the cemetery with our family or relatives and bring there Easter food.

When we meet other people along the way, we say, "Christ is risen!" and these people answer "Truly Risen".

I like Easter because it is a wonderful family holiday.

Easter is the greatest and most important holiday for Ukrainians. On this holiday my family and I drive to the village. My grandmother and grandfather wait for us. My mother and father help our grandparents. My mother and grandmother always put such types of food as ham, smoked sausage, Paska, eggs, horse radish, dairy butter, salt in our baskets. At 1 o'clock a.m. we go to the church to consecrate the basket. After the church we have breakfast. There are two traditions in my family. The first tradition is egg tapping. The rule of the game is simple. One holds a hard-boiled egg and taps the egg of another participant with his own egg intending to break the other's, without breaking his own. The second tradition is us visiting our relatives. Every Eadter we go to my grandparents, to the godparents and other relatives. Easter is a family holiday. I like it so much!

I'd like to talk about my celebration of Easter.

Easter is the most important holiday for Ukrainians. I celebrate this holiday with my family. On Easter we visit my grandparents. All family meets together there. My grandma prepares for our arrival. My mum makes Easter cake and traditional dishes. And my dad buys products and my sister helps my mum. Mum and grandma make up the basket. Then we go to church with our basket. After that we eat our blessed food. I think this holiday is the time when the family is together. So, it's my favorite holiday.

Easter is the perfect holiday to make unforgettable memories. Every year my family is looking forward to it, and we try to do our best to prepare well for Easter. My mum always bakes Easter bread and cooks a lot of tasty food. She buys chocolate eggs and bunnies for my sister and for me. We decorate our house with Easter tree, chicks, lambs, hares and flowers. We also like painting eggs in different colors. On Sunday morning all my family goes to church for the service of God. After that, all the family gathers at the festive table and has breakfast. However, this year we are going to stay at home. We will try to spend together the whole day celebrating and playing games. If the weather is fine, mum will hide eggs from us and we will find them everywhere in the garden. Kate likes egg and spoon race game. I hope we’ll play it. We aren’t able to attend the annual Easter events in the town, but we’ll have plenty of fun at home. We are going to do everything from drawing bunny to playing Easter bingo. I think everybody must keep Easter traditions, stay at home and get a lot of fun.

Easter is one of the most important holidays of the year. Usually this holiday is celebrated on one of Sundays in spring. Easter eggs and Easter cakes (or paskas) are the traditional symbols of the religious holiday. On Easter we attend church together with my family. We consecrate the holiday food in beautiful baskets. The tradition of egg painting is old . You can see painted eggs in every house for Easter holiday. Easter Sunday is a day of singing and eating. My family visit our friends and relatives and exchange Easter eggs. Traditions play a more important role in the life of the people. I think if we keep up our traditions, we will preserve national history and culture. I like to prepare for Easter with my family.

Easter is a great holiday. The whole world celebrates it.We are going to celebrate Easter on April the 19th this year.Before Easter my family usually cleans the house.We wash the curtains and clean the windows. We also do some garden work.My mom and my grandmothers bake Easter bread. My sister and I paint eggs and decorate Easter cakes.Then my mom prepares the Easter basket.We put Easter bread, painted eggs,some sausages,butter and some horseradish into the basket. We have the basket blessed in the church. On Easter Sunday we go to the church for a holy liturgy and after that we have festive breakfast together. I like the tradition when my cousins and I look for chocolate eggs and rabbits in the grass outside our house. I really like Easter because all my family gets together to celebrate this wonderful holiday.

It is a special holiday when we follow the traditions and believe in the miracle. There are many beliefs and warnings for Easter. Adhering to them, everything you wish is done. It is forbidden to make noise, sing, have fun, guess and brawl. Every child loves to paint Easter eggs because it's such a tradition. Each family has their own views on how to celebrate Easter. I enjoy preparing for this wonderful holiday. Egg sharing has become a part of the Easter tradition. The egg is a symbol of life and a wonderful resurrection. Our Easter

Usually in Ukraine Easter is celebrated in April. This holiday is considered one of the most important holidays. Our family has always loved to celebrate this great holiday. Every year we bake Easter cakes. We later decorate them with sugar flowers and chickens. Then my sister and I paint the eggs. We paint them in different colors, and I complement them with ornaments. Also we do not forget to decorate our baskets. Later on Easter Saturday we all go to church together. The next day we all go to the village to my grandmother. Also every year, all the village children gather near the church to sing the vesniankas. This is how people feel the coming of Easter!

I visit my grandparents in the village and help them. We prepare baskets.Мy mom and I help to cook. We celebrate Easter with the whole family every year. We go to church together. My cousin and her parents come to see us on Sunday. After church we eat an egg and sit down at a table. We have fun and spend time with a lot of fun. Every year we celebrate Easter in the family circle. I love this holiday because I meet the relatives and we spend time together.
