Hello, I am Keloglan (Bald boy). I am one of the most lovable tale characters in Turkey. I am funny, smart, helpful. I like to rest and have fun.
I was a character in the tale named Keloglan and the his friend Squirrel. In this tale I help Squirrel.


Hello, I am Manu. I am the character in the Spanish tale named The Word Shuttle.
I am a naughty boy who enjoys making jokes to people, but sometimes I can be very tiring. In the word shuttle tale, I started being a little bit evil but at the end I learned a lot about respect and friendship.

I am the grandfather from the Spanish tale named Grandfather, Grandson and the Donkey. My name is José and I am a very wise person. In the tale, I try to glad everyone but at the end I learned a lot about being self-confident.

I am the Silk Tree from the Turkish tale named Silk Tree.
I am a beautiful tree.
At the beginning of the tale I was in a bad situation because I couldn't get enough sunshine. Then, by the help of other trees I was fine.
If I feel good, my magic flowers open. My flowers give everyone favor and health.

Hello, I am the man from a Spanish tale named Cakes and the Tooth . My name is Javier and I am a very smart person. At the beginning of the tale, I was in poverty but at the end, I achieved whatever I wanted using my intelligence.

Hello, I am Hasan from the Turkish tale named Smart Son.
I am an honest person and I love helping people. At the tale, my father gave me some money and I used it to help children because helping others makes me happy.

Chapter 1
Written by the students of 2/C Marmara Primary School, Bandırma, Balıkesir, Turkey

Once upon a time, there was a grandfather. He was a kindhearted man. He had a lot of things to do on his farm. His grandson Manu was helping him. They were living happily.
One day, he heard that there were some problems in the distant countries. People were getting ill and there were no cures yet.


Dear Grandfather, you look very upset.
That's true my dear friend. I heard some people are ill and I don't know how to help them. I wish I had a cure for their illnesses.


Dear Grandfather, I can help you. I have magic flowers. You take them to those people so that they can be cured. My flowers are magical, they will cure them and they will never end.
Oh dear Silk Tree!
You made me very happy.







Sure, grandfather.
My dear grandson Manu, please take these magical flowers to those in need. I am too old to travel.




Can Keloglan come with me, too. He is my best friend. He can help, too.
Sure, but be careful with the flowers. If you lose this flowers you can't come back.





Take these flowers and go all around the world. Use these flowers to cure illnesses. Take my donkey, too. When you say "Hombalabamba"the donkey will fly and take you wherever you want.







Manu and Keloglan were happy for this journey. They said"Hombalabamba" to the donkey and the donkey flew them.










It was a long journey







They were tired and they fell asleep under a tree. When they woke up...





The donkey and the flowers were gone.

Chapter 2
Written by the students of BYF1 Yenimahalle Scince and Art Center, Ankara, Turkey

They were surprised and worried. Without flowers they couldn't help ill people and without donkey and flowers they couldn't go back. They found a note under the tree. They thought it fell of from the donkey's saddlebag.
It was a riddle. If they find the answer, they would find the donkey and the flowers. But they couldn't find the answer.
The riddle was:
It is huge and powerful,
At the same time, it is colorful,
If you find what this is
You can find your missing things.
They started to look for the donkey and flowers. In the forest they met a boy named Hasan. They asked if he can help them.




Sure, I will be happy to help.





The answer is the
Magical Peacock.

We brought flowers to cure the disease. But we lost our donkey and flowers. We found this riddle on this note. But we couldn't find the answer.



Dear Peacock, can you help us find missing donkey and flowers?

Magical peacock was huge and colorful.





Magical peacock help them to find the donkey and flowers. They thanked the Magical Peacock.







Hasan, Keloglan and Manu went every places to help ill people. They gave the magical flowers to ill people.















Thank you all for your help.




Flower were never-ending flowers. People started to get better.







Hasan, you are such a smart and good friend. Thank you for your help. We hope to see you again.
Thank you indeed. You help to cure people. Have a good trip.






Manu and Keloglan were ready to go another country to help other people. They said"Hombalabamba" to the donkey and the donkey flew them.










They arrived in a new country. They were little bit hungry and tired.

Chapter 3

They looked for a lodge to eat some delicious food, drink fresh water and sleep in a bed. They found "the Pig Lodge".














Hello, my name is Manu. We bring magical flowers to help people.
Welcome! My name is Javier.
That is great.




I am Keloglan. We are here to help ill people. But, first we should rest a little.












But, we are very tired, hungry and thirsty. We want some bread, some water and beds to sleep, please. And some water and hay for our donkey too, please.
I can give you bread and a bed, but I don't have any water for you or the donkey. I'm sorry.











Oh, no! How is this possible?
An evil wizard cast a spell on the Lady of the Lake and our country lost all the water.











Don't worry Javier, we can help you! Let's find the water, then we can help others.
Oh! Really? !That will be amazing! Follow the rainbow and you will find the Lady of the Lake.
But, the flowers?










Can you take care of these magical flowers, sir? These will bring cure to ill people.
Sure. You are very kind. The flowers will be safe with me.
Let's go Manu!



Manu, Keloglan and the donkey walked and walked, following the rainbow and finally, they found the Lady of the Lake.
Wow! She was a beautiful woman, but she was very worried!

Keloglan, Manu and the donkey brought the magical potion to the Lady of the Lake and thanks to them, the country had water again!

After they rested and ate some food,they went back to downtown..










They helped all ill people. They gave the magical flowers to cure them.

Let's go to my grandmother's house. It is near here. She can make you some soup and you can rest for a while. Maybe you will remember it after you rest.












Welcome. Please have a rest. Let me make some soup for you.

The soup is almost ready. This is my secret soup. It will help them remember the magic word.

After a while, Keloglan remembered the magic word. They were all happy.

Manu and Keloglan said"Hombalabamba" to the donkey and the donkey flew them.







Manu and Keloglan arrived at their home. Grandfather ran to greet them.






Manu, Keloglan, welcome home!. I am so proud of you!.
Grandfather, we helped all the ill people. They are fine, now.
