I am the universe!

Today, we are going to have a talk about one of the tiny dots in me!

How tiny it is I don't even know!

Imagine, you are containing hundreds, billions, even trillions of stars and planets, not counting meteorites, black holes and...

I'll give you a clue of what it is!

The tiny dot comes from a solar system, which is the Milky Way, which comes from the universe.

This tiny dot, in fact, is your Earth!

It is very important as it contains lots of intelligent life forms, furthermore, it's environment allows these intelligent life forms to live on Earth!

Hello, Earth! What's been bothering you?

It's Global Warming. Global Warming's causing me to get hotter and this effect is causing living things problems!

THE EXPLANATION

Global Warming is caused when the Earth gets hotter.That happens due to a few factors.

One of the factors is the Greenhouse effect:

-Caused when lots of Carbon Dioxide, a gas that traps heat, is released into the air, thus the Earth will be hotter.

The Greenhouse effect is caused by lots of smaller factors, such as:

-Deforestation

-Burning foossil fuels

-Irrigation

-Livestock

-Agriculture

[ALL THESE ACTIVITIES ARE FROM HUMANS]

Global Warming affects animals in their everyday lives.

For example:

-Polar Bears

Why?

Polar Bears live in the ice cold Artic Circle, without the ice, they cannot catch their main source of food, seals, as they are fast swimmers. [SEE NEXT PAGE FOR MORE INFO]

Seals sometimes make holes in the ice caps to breathe or bask on them. Without the ice caps, the Polar Bears would not be able too eat the seals and therefore may starve to death.

[The heat from Global Warming will melt the ice caps.]

Another example:

-Corals

The heat from Global Warming is 'boiling' the ocean. When the water is to warm the coral will expel the algae living in their tissues causing the coral to turn completely white and thus dying.

This is called coral bleaching.

Another example:

-Jaguars

Jaguars are endangered due to deforestation and forest fires. Forest

fires are happening more and more as the heat from Global Warming rises.

There are lots of ways to slow or prevent Global Warming [depends if it is small or big] here are some examples, including 'how that way could slow Global Warming'.

Examples:

-Plant more plants

-How it could slow or even prevent Global Warming

Plants can take in Carbon Dioxide and give out Oxygen,

thus 'cooling' our Earth.
