WHEN DID IT BECOME A BRANCH OF SCIENCE

*Until the 1970s, Cryptography was  known only to a few military and diplomatic government employees. It was hidden from the public until this date. This thought changed in the 1970s and it began to be seen as a science. 

*The first education and research book in this field in the world was published in 1987. Later it became an interdisciplinary  branch of science taught at postgraduate level in world universities.
