Foundation of Nike Inc.
Nike's origins date back to the 1950s, when the University of Oregon Athletics coach Bill Bowerman was eagerly seeking to give his athletes competitive advantages. I've tried different court surfaces, hydrating drinks and most importantly, innovate in footwear. Given the little importance that the footwear brands of that time gave to the suggestions made by Bill, he himself would be in charge of carrying out the modifications in the shoes for his athletes.
Phil Knight and his beginnings as a shoe distributor
Phil Knight (February 24, 1938) creator of the millionaire sportswear brand Nike. He was born in Portland, Oregon, United States. I've jogged about 7 miles, at that time I've met Bill Bowerman. From that moment began the incipient history of the great sports brand worldwide Nike. Bowerman was always very creative when looking for shoe models for his students. Once Phil receives the first pairs of shoes and in order to carry out a sale, he decides to send some pairs to Bowerman, but surprisingly he would make a counterproposal to Phil to become his partner.

The 80’s: A decade of transition
In the middle of this decade, Nike had ceased to be the first in the industry due to a miscalculation in the growth of aerobics that left the way open for its competitors to develop this business. Fortunately for the company, the design of a new shoe for an NBA rookie named Michael Jordan in 1985 ultimately made the impact on the company's bottom line less negative. For me, the signature of this player made nike sales even higher than previous years.

What do the employees of this wear at working?
Nike is a company that values and cares for its employees. The opinion of the workers is taken into account and this facilitates a pleasant work environment. Employees do not have to worry about their clothing, as nike provides them with all the clothing so they can wear it. How many vacation days can nike employees have? Well, they usually give 10 business days in summer and 5 days in winter. In my opinion, the nike company always cares for and treats its staff well; Well they say that as you treat your employees, they will treat customers that way.

Would you like to work for this company?
It would be a complete dream for me to be able to work in this company as a general manager, and to be able to show off Nike's skin, what can you call that? Well, love of work and all its obstacles.
The name Nike and its famous logo
The brand name comes from Greek mythology: Nike is the winged goddess of victory. In 1971 the popular logo was created by Carolyn Davidson, a graphic design student at the University of Portland, known as "The Swoosh," which represents the wing of the goddess Nike. By the year 1972 the new line of Nike shoes would make its debut at the United States Athletics Trials held in Eugene, Oregon.
