This book is dedicated to my leadership teacher because without her I would not be reminded about the importance of wisdom in one's life.
Thank you, Ms. Leaney!

A Shot at Wisdom

On one sunny afternoon, Billy and Tim were on their way to basketball practice when they started to talk about whether or not they would be in the starting line up for the next game...
“I really hope coach lets me play in the next game,” Billy said
“Me too”, said Tim

After a while of walking and talking Billy and Tim arrived at the school gym where Emily, the coach, was waiting for everyone so she could announce the line up for the game on Friday.
“Okay, guys, it’s finally time to announce our lineups for Friday’s game, now I know all of you really want to play but remember this list is made based on how ready each of you are to go out there and help your team, as well as yourself, succeed,” said Emily.
As she read the names that were on the lineup, Billy realized that his name wasn’t said but Tim’s was...

Billy was so upset his name wasn’t on the list he spent the rest of practice shooting and playing on his own.
“I don’t understand why coach didn’t think it was my time to play, this is the first game of the season and I wanted to be in the starting lineup really bad,” Billy said to himself.
Billy decided to ask Emily why his name wasn’t on the list and she said “look Billy you're a great basketball player but I didn’t put you on the line up because you aren’t completely ready yet and even though you’re not on the lineup doesn’t mean you aren’t gonna get to play in the game or have fun.”

Soon came the big first game of the season, despite still being a little upset about the starting lineup Billy was excited about the game and for his friend Tim.
The game started and while Tim was playing Billy cheered for his friend as loud as he could
“GOOD JOB TIM! KEEP GOING!” He screamed
