THE complıcated STORY OF A BOOKWORM

Arthur was a real bookworm. He liked reading books most in his life. He learned about the world with the help of the books and he discovered the truth of life again thanks to the books.

When he started to read, he was feeling himself in another world.

No matter where he was, he liked reading everywhere. When he had an opportunity, he spent his time with reading.

That night, he was reading a kind of crime and detective story in his bed. He closed his eyes and something strange happened.

Arthur himself would tell us the rest ...

I opened my eyes and no idea where I was. Suddenly I saw an envelope on my small desk.I opened the envelope and took out the letter.It was written for me. Then I realized something else. That was a cheque and it was written $100,000.

"$100,000 was inherited to you from Mr. Rowlings" wrote on it.

Who was this man? Was I daydreaming? I was sure that I never heard such a name. But now, this letter brought me a fortune! I felt a sudden fear. I was a lonely man.

And I had no rich relatives. Nobody would inherit me anything. At that moment, the telephone on the small desk rang.

I answered:

- Hello, Arthur speaking!

-Hello, this is Sam Johnson, the lawyer of Mr. Rowlings. He passed away a month ago and left you a fortune. Did you get the letter?

- Y-ye, yes... But how? I don't know him. Where am I now? Who is Mr. Rowlings??

- He is .................

-He is the owner of the company that you are working for 10 years?

- But how? I have been carrying out my own business for ten years, I said.

I couldn't understand what was happening. I started to get frightened.

The man on the other side of the phone went on...

- The doorbell would ring in a few minutes, Please open the door.

And...... the doorbell rang!

Then I became really scared when the doorbell rang. Everything was so scary because Sam Johnson announced it to me a moment ago. Then I opened the door and saw someone that I have never seen before.

- Hello - he said, I am Mr. Stole, the personal assistant of Sam Johnson. He announced my arrival because I had to tell to you some too serious news which shouldn't be discussed over the phone.

When we sat down, I asked him what was it about. Next time, he took out his bag, filled of many documents and he started to look at some documents. If someone told me what was waiting for me I would never have believed it...

Besides $100.000, Mr. Rowlings inherited me all his fortune. They were villas, expensive cars, a yacht, lands, current company, stocks... While Mr.Stole was showing me the documents, I froze for a few minutes and couldn't think anything.

Mr.Stole kept speaking but I didn't understand him anymore. I came to myself with the phone ringing. I was confused. I answered the phone. It was Sam Johnson, the lawyer.

That telephone was an invitation for me to visit the company that belonged to me, forever.But where was that company? What was the name of the company? I couldn't think until Mr. Stole explained the name of the company.

As soon as I heard that name, I realized that it was my former workplace. But... In that company I have worked only one day.

When I entered there a strange woman asked me:

- White or red?

By chance I said red and that crazy lady fired me.

Now I understand that red means “to become the heir of wealth” and white means “ simple worker”.
