The Cold War was an ideological conflict unleashed in the 20th century in which the communist bloc led by the Soviet Union and the other clashed. 

The capitalist block led by the United States. 

The communist block were part of the Soviet Union, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria, East Germany. 

The capitalist block, apart from the United States as well, was made up of Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Portugal, Norway, Denmark, West Germany, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Grace and Turkey.

Fin de la Guerra Fría

La Guerra Fría finalizó con la crisis del socialismo, la caída del Muro de Berlín (1989) y la separación de la Unión Soviética. En diciembre de 1991 se disolvió la Unión Soviética, lo que conllevó a la independencia de 15 países.

Tras la muerte de Stalin en 1953 los estrictos controles y la fata de libertad provocarían una seguidilla de manifestaciones en Polonia, Hungría y Checoslovaquia.

El fallecido dictador sería finalmente sucedido por el ascendente Nikita Jrushchov como secretario general del Comité Central del Partido Comunista de la Unión Soviética (PCUS). Por otra parte, Gueorgui Malenkov sería designado como el nuevo premier soviético.

 And the Glasnost that allowed freedom of information was carried out alongside perestroika in the Soviet Union by Mikhail Gorbachev, from 1985 to 1991.

EEUU ganó la Guerra Fría por el agotamiento de La Unión Soviética. La Revolución de agosto de 1991 es el último intento de los convervadores para evitar el derrumbe de La Unión Soviética y se produce un Golpe de Estado que duraría 60 días.

Gorbachov fue detenido y por esto quienes quedaron al mando eliminaron todas las libertades civiles. El Golpe de Estado generó un proceso revolucionario de signo democrático que desembarcó en el fin de La URSS y el fin del comunismo
