The history:

Fortnite is, unfortunately despite many, one of the greatest successes of this generation. As someone says overnight, it went from being a generic shooter to becoming The Battle Royale (well, capitalized, because it is an honorary title),

dethroning the game that "copied", PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. So much so that it has allowed Epic to create its own video game sales platform, which currently threatens the almighty Valve and its Steam. But that is another story...

the new season:

We have the story of Saving the world, the survivors of the Storm that has devastated the world. This is the paid part of the game, in cooperative format, in which we have to defeat waves of monsters on different maps and complete objectives such as creating radio towers or finding certain objects.

Then there is the story of the Battle Royale, the part that can be downloaded for free.

Vamos a centrarnos en la historia del Battle Royale, porque es mucho más interesante de lo que creéis. En la Isla de Batalla han pasado cosas bastante curiosas. Parece una tontería, pero esto también ha ayudado a mantener el éxito de Epic Games y Fortnite.
