Once upon a time there was a king who ruled the Ewing Kingdom and along side him was his beloved daughter, Princess Ray. The king loved his daughter more than anything. He would always tell her no matter what he would always be there for his daughter in her time of need, for she was his sunshine.

One day the king had to leave his daughter to go fight a fearsome battle against the D'vorvhe kingdom. While the princess was scared of what might happen to her father she was strong and stood by his side until the time came for him to leave. He told her how much he loved her and how he would soon return. She smiled and tried not to cry while she kissed him goodbye. While mounting his horse he said "I'll return soon my sunshine." and rode off into battle

The king has been gone for 2 days and the longer he is away the princess began to loose her smile and energy. She missed her father so much. But she also was frightened because she had heard rumors of creatures with sharp teeth and long claws invading her kingdom. And since she was not ye old enough she could not protect her kingdom. Suddenly she heard a strange noise. She was scared but she had to be brave for her father. So she went to investigate.

When the princess searched for what the noise was she could not find anything but then a big scary monster with sharp teeth and long claws jumped out and grabbed her! She screamed for help but no one came. She screamed for her father but he did not come. She screamed for anyone but still no one heard her.

The monster took her to his cave and kept her prisoner. She would cry for her father, but he never came to her rescue. As time went on she had realized her father was never coming. She had lost track of the days and was never allowed off her chain. She had lost her bravery, hope, and spirit. She didn't know what to do. She had given up and became the creatures servant.

One day she head something. It was loud and sounded like someone was fighting. When she gained the strength to get up she saw what it was. A knight fighting the monster. He was here for her. The brave night sent the monster fleeing. When he turned around he saw her and took her hand and told her how he has been searching for her. He heard her cries for help and didn't rest until he had found her. The princess was so happy she cried with the biggest smile on her face.

The knight brought the princess home safely and told her he was Sir Peter from the Theotraw Kingdom. He vowed that in time he along with his army would protect her and be there in her time of need whenever she is in danger. And she trusted him. She knew he would keep his word.

After learning she was only gone for a week the princess went to find her father. He had returned 3 days after her capture and thought he had lost her forever. He was defeated in battle and had thought he lost his sunshine. The princess explained what had happened with the monster and the knight. But the king refusing to believe that there were monsters in his kingdom replies "Impossible there have never been nor are there monsters in my kingdom. My sweet princess you are imagining things." Shocked by his response the princess became overwhelmed by her emotions and stormed out of the kingdom and ran to Theotraw.
