One night, Teddy Bear was awake. He was tired of being a toy bear. All he wanted was to be a real wild bear.

    On the floor, lay a book all about bears. So, he decided to explore it.

    Teddy Bear began opening the book. Suddenly, the book took him inside of it.

    "Whoa!" shouted Teddy Bear. He took his orange backpack, that lay at the footstep of the bed with him.

    He thought it was all a dream.

    When he entered the book, he met two baby grizzly bears.

    "Hello," said Teddy Bear. "What are you two doing out here?"

    "We are waiting for our mom to come back. She's fishing." the two bears replied at the same time.

    Then, Mama grizzly bear came back and said, "I'm back!"

    "This is our mom," the two baby grizzly bears explained.

    "Would you like some fish?" she asked Teddy Bear.

    "OK," Teddy Bear replied. He tasted it, but it was raw.

    Teddy Bear said, "Sorry, I don't eat this. I must continue on my adventure."

    "OK!" the two baby grizzly bears answered at the same time.

    "Bye!" said Teddy Bear.

    "Bye!" the Grizzly family all said.

   Teddy Bear got

      teleported!

    Teddy Bear soon met a Koala.

    "Hello, Koala," said Teddy Bear.

    "Hi," said Koala. Koala noticed that Teddy Bear had a confused-looking facial expression.

    "What?" Koala asked.

    "Are you a bear?" Teddy Bear asked.

    "I'm not necessarily a "bear"," said Koala.

    "OK," said Teddy Bear. "What do you eat, Koala?"

    "I eat eucalyptus leaves. Try one!" Koala insisted.

    "I guess," said Teddy Bear.

    Ugh! thought Teddy Bear. "No thanks. I don't eat this."

    "OK," said Koala.

    "I must continue on my adventure."

    "See you later." said Koala.

    "Good-bye," said Teddy Bear.

   Teddy Bear got

      teleported!

    Teddy Bear met a Panda.

    "Hello," said Teddy Bear. "What are you doing?"

    "I'm resting," said Panda, giving a loud yawn.

    "Oh," said Teddy Bear. "Do you have anything to eat?"

    "Yes! I have bamboo!"

    Teddy Bear tasted the bamboo. He wanted to spit it out at the moment.

    "No way!" Teddy Bear shrieked. "I don't eat this! I must continue on my journey."

    "Bye," said Panda.

    "Bye," said Teddy Bear.

Teddy Bear didn't know that his adventure wasn't a dream. If you look in the previous page, a piece of bamboo gets stuck in his bag.
