My Covid Experience
Covid 19 is a bad virus. The experiences are mixed. We started our online classes. I wanted to celebrate my birthday with my friends at school and with Neesha mam, but I couldn't even see my dad.
At my grandparents house we had a terrace dinner one night. It was so much fun. We all played dumb Charades. It was good but it was sad that we were not able to step outside the house. I could not even go for a walk or ride my bike. Another reason why this lock down is sad is that my parents had promised to take me to Disney Land, and we were supposed to go during the summer holidays. But Covid 19 ruined our plans.
I still miss my friends but somehow I feel I am getting used to seeing them online everyday. I can now sleep till 7.30 am everyday whereas in normal school days I had to wake up everyday at 5.45 am. That is one good thing about Covid 19.

My Life in Covid 19
My life changed during Covid 19 and we had to stay home. My dad used to stay in Pune and work there, but now he is living with us during the lockdown. Me and my brother are very happy about this. I am glad that I was able to attend Karate, Cuemath, Dance and Music classes online. My mom baked a cake for my birthday. It was the best birthday I had because my Grandmom and Godmother had come to stay with us.
During lockdown I learnt how to do chores by myself. I am also learning new things like Coding and Origami. I am hoping that Covid 19 and lock down would end soon.

What I do during the Lock down
Lock downs are usually boring. But this lock down is amazing. I do my household work. I also play Badminton with my brother. I also help my mom to cook. I help my grandmother to water the plants. I fold colorful clothes. This lock down is fun because I love doing household work which is interesting. I enjoy this lock down because I can spend time with my family especially my very kind brother.

My lock down Hobby
I hated lock down because I could not go outside. But I started a You tube channel called Ai. In my You tube video I made many Art videos along with my Sister. I have made 4 videos in my You tube Channel. But now my Sister is going to Dubai and I had to handle the channel on my own. I will try to make amazing and interesting videos in my channel for all the people.

My Covid memories
During Covid 19 I was engaged with my school work and I also did cycling. After doing my school work, I took cycling breaks. Lock down is boring and it feels like we are all doing nothing. During Covid 19 I am going just a little crazy of being indoors everyday. I sometimes act like a Cat or a Monkey when I climb on my dad. And this year has been one of the most annoying years at all time.

My time in Karur
During the lockdown me and my parents went on a 6 or 7 hour road trip to Karur to see my grandparents and spend time with them. When I got there I was very excited to see them. A few days later my cousin Dere came there and things started to get fun. Dere is very mischievous and he motivated me to speak Tamil. That's something they have been trying to do for years.
A few weeks later me, Dere, his parents and my Thatha's older brother went on an adventure to see Peacocks. I started playing with my friends. I played with Dere in the terrace. Me and my parents celebrated their Anniversary. I had my first online class. My Thatha got me lots of Kinder Joys. All of this had come to an end and I am waiting for another time to spend with family.

My Covid Experience
My Covid experience has been a mix of good and bad. The most enjoyable thing was that I got to read a lot and got a lot of playtime. I got to spend a lot of time with my cousins and I developed a thick bond. One of the things I had never done was household chores like sweeping, mopping etc. It was fun and made me feel important. Another enjoyable memory is the entire family sitting around my grandmother reading a famous Tamil book.
One of the most enjoyable thing was going to my Mother's studio and playing. I did not like doing football in the computer. It was boring because I missed real matches and drills. Another frustrating thing was being home bound. I missed eating out and having play dates but it still feels like summer holidays.

2020 is the worst year of my life
Due to lock down I could not go outside. I get bored without going out. Everybody's worst year is 2020 especially for me and my family. I had a function that got delayed to next year and I had to relocate because of Covid 19. But the lock down has been in India for so long that I feel the lock down makes 2020 the worst year. And Corona makes the year 2020 worser. The worst thing about lock down is that you cannot step outside. The best thing about lock down is you are safe from Corona virus. Did you know : Kashmir has been in lock down for one whole year.

My lock down experiences - Close but Far
The day after my Annual day of 2nd standard was the day when the lock down started - March 17th. The lock down is fun for me by spending most of my time with my parents. We played, cooked, watched movies at home.
We played in the terrace, chatted with neighbors, enjoyed sunset and cloud iridescence and saw Venus, Mercury and Jupiter as stars. We also saw birds like Cranes, green Parrots, Crows and Bats.
The new things I have learnt are cooking and western dance. I also learnt to make Powerpoint presentations. The main thing that I learnt from Corona is that Corona is here to teach us good habits and it is saving nature from pollution and makes nature happy.
I feel everyone is close but far, staying in their house safe and healthy, so STAY SAFE & STAY HEALTHY !

My lock down Hobbies
During summer I planned to go for a fun vacation. But we could not go anywhere because of lock down. To keep myself happy and also explore my talents I did new activities everyday.
I learnt to play the Piano by watching Youtube videos. I tried baking cake and pizza. I read a lot of story books and tried to make my own comic. I learnt new dance moves and recorded my own dance videos. I also celebrated my 8th birthday and had lots of fun with my friends on Zoom call. In this lock down I understood the value of being safe from Covid 19 and stay happy in my home.

My birthday celebration during lock down
Mostly I celebrate my birthday with my friends. But due to lock down my friends cannot come. So my Mother decided to plan the party with my family members. All my friends called and wished me and I felt very happy. My Mother cooked all my favourite dishes and baked chocolate almond cake for me. We clicked many photographs. My Grandmother stitched a frock for me and she also gave me a gold ring. My Uncle gave me a smart watch. I ate sandwiches with lots of vegetables and I also ate ladoos. I played with my younger Brother and we all enjoyed the day.

My lock down experience
In the third week of March, I was on a holiday at Coonor with my family. We were worried about our return to Chennai due to the pandemic. We managed to reach home the next day. My Father told me about the Corona virus spread and how it was affecting many countries. Then the Prime Minister announced lock down. Then I started to get bored and irritated. But I knew that this is how we defend from Corona. I attended some theatre classes. Then finally the school reopened and made me happy. Since then I didn't feel bored.

My lock down experience
My lock down experience is mixed emotions. Some days it was boring and some days it was fun. I hate the fact when people disobeyed the rules. If they would have followed lot of lives would have been changed. I avoided going out so my family is safe. I hope this ends soon so we are back to our fun life. Waiting for the vaccine.
