Don't build castles in the air

GEETA

Grandmother
Geeta was a young girl. She lived in a small village with her grandmother. Geeta was milkmaid who owned cows. She used to milk her cows everyday and carry the pot of milk on her head to a nearby city.

After selling milk for the whole day. She used to return home in the evening.

Geeta took care of her cows. She gave them proper food and kept them clean. Grandmother loved Geeta.

But Geeta would day dream a lot. She would dream of becoming richer and richer. Her day dreams would always get Geeta in trouble.

Grandmother:Geeta! The cows are getting out of the shed! They will get lost! Why are you not paying attention to them? Oh! Sorry grandma! I was dreaming....eh...thinking. Oh! I know what you were thinking about. Always dreaming of becoming rich! You need to work harder for that! But Geeta would not listen.

One day, as Geeta was about to leave the house to sell milk, her grandmother called her to the kitchen. Grandmother said,''Listen, my dear, today you don't have to go to the market to sell milk.'' Geeta:''Why is that grandma?''

There is a big wedding ceremony in the neighbouring village tomorrow. The Sarpanch is celebrating her daughter's wedding! But grandma why should we not sell milk? The Sarpanch wants the cook and prepare all kinds of delicious sweets for them.

He has personally asked me to send him a big pot of fresh milk for the preparation! He has promised to pay us double of what we earn in a single day. Geeta:''Double the money? Grandma! Can I please go to the wedding tomorrow? I will wear my best clothes and walk with pride! We work so hard!! They must respect us. Everybody will know my name.

Ah...Don't build castles in the air! Our milk has not even reached the village yet. The cook has not even smelled the milk! Oh! What do I do with this girl! Sorry, grandma! I will carry this milk to the village.

Here...take this. Rememeber, Not a single drop of milk must fall on the ground. I have given my word to the Sarpanch. If the milk does not reach him on time, forget about double money, we won't be able to the attend wedding either. Don't worry grandma! I will take care of this pot and the milk. You'll see, we will be richer than the Sarpanch in no time. The Sarpanch will buy milk only from us. Ah...Remember Geeta....I know! I know! Don't build castles in the air. Bye Bye, Grandma!
