In the small town of Willow bury,I lived with my family in a little town house.I was the second last of five siblings. We were a well nit family like most families,My siblings and I would often get into a row with each other.
Near out neighborhood,a small winding road led to a thick forest. The neighbors often warned the children not to go wondering in the woods. One early morning,my older sister and i had a small argument,I stormed out of the house muttering smart retorts in my mind.I kept walking steadfastly, lost in my own thoughts.Soon,I realized i walked to deep in the woods!

....

Just as i was about to turn back,I saw an old man sitting by the bark of an old tree. Curiosity got the better of me.I walked over to him, greeted him and asked "What brings you here?" He replied,"Im here to protect little children from the dangers of the woods." "Well good day to you Sir"I said to which the old man replied,"My child i suggest you dont go any further down as danger lies ahead."As i was sure of myself I said "Thank You but i think i know my way around here."The Old man bid me farewell and pulled out a shiny ring from his bag and said "My child keep this ring with you,in case you find yourself in trouble, just rub it till it warms up." I was hesitant at first but then I accepted the gift as a kind gesture and respect for the elderly.

Walking further ahead,my thoughts cleared up.As i turned around to call it a day,i realized i was unable to turn around in my own will.Trying harder,I looked down and realized my foot had been dug up deep into the mud.A second thought later,I realized it was QUICK SAND!I also realized that is why the town's people didn't want children to go in the woods.I attempted once again to tug myself out but to no avail.By now,The evening had set and i could see the sunlight disappear in the distance.Dark shadows of the old trees formed around me and i was sunk almost to my knees.Helpless I felt panic and anxiety.I could hear the jackals and hyenas howling.Suddenly I remembered the ring the old man had given me,I pulled it out of my back pocket and its jewels gleamed in the moonlight.
