CROCODILES
They are reptile and they are carnivores.Crocodiles eat fish, birds and frogs.Because of their slow metabolisms, they can survive for months without water.There are 13 species of crocodiles, so there are many different sizes of crocodile.



They have got strong jaws, sharp teeth and short legs.They can live in the water and on the land.Today we can find them in the tropical habitats of Africa, Asia and Australia.





PEACOCK
The peacock bird is best known for its brilliantly-colored tail feathers with the distinctive “eye” pattern. Peacocks commonly eat insects, other small creatures and plants. According to National Geographic, they are referred to as “ground-feeders.”

The Congo peacock is native to rain forests in Africa, while the green peacock is native to Myanmar and Java. The blue peacock is native to Sri Lanka and India.
The tail of the peacock is usually about 5 feet long.
They live about 15 years.
They can fly but they prefer staying on the ground.


WHITE LIONS
White lions are a symbol of leadership and pride for the local people in the timbavati area.It has blue eyes and white fur.His/Her shoulders,feet and chest are muscular.Male white lions are 3m long and 240 kg in weight female ones are 1.8m long and 180-200 kg in weight.

White lions are not albinos. Their white color is caused by rare color mutation. White lions are carnivorous animals as a diet and these animals eat animals such as zebras and rabbits.


BATS
Bats are mammals.They are the only mammals capable of true and sustained flight. There Are approximately 986 species of bats on earth. The smallest bat species is called
"Wasp Bat".Bats live in almost every habitat on garth,with the Arctic,Antarctica and few isolated oceanic islands.

When not flying, bats hang upside down from their feet.Different bat species have different diets, including insects, nectar, pollen, fruit and even vertebrates.Bats get most of their water from the food they eat; many species also drink from water sources.A few species, specifically the common, white-winged, and hairy-legged vampire bats, feed only on animal blood

There are more than 3,000 species of snakes on the planet and they’re found everywhere except in Antarctica, Iceland, Ireland, Greenland, and New Zealand.
Snakes are carnivores (meat eaters).
Snakes don’t have eyelids.
Snakes can’t bite food so they have to swallow it whole.
Snakes have flexible jaws which allow them to eat prey bigger than their head!

SNAKES

Snakes used in snake charming performances respond to movement, not sound.Snakes have a unique anatomy which allows them to swallow and digest large prey.
Snakes are covered in scales.Snake skin is smooth and dry.
Snakes shed their skin once a year and this process usually lasts a few days.
Some species of snake, such as cobras and black mambas, use venom to hunt and kill their prey.


BLUE WHALE
Blue whales are the largest animals ever known to have lived on Earth. These magnificent marine mammals rule the oceans at up to 100 feet long and upwards of 200 tons. Their tongues alone can weigh as much as an elephant. Their hearts, as much as an automobile.

Dolphins are small-toothed cetaceans easily recognizable by their curved mouths, which give them a permanent “smile.” There are 36 dolphin species, found in every ocean. Most dolphins are marine and live in the ocean or brackish waters along coastlines.Their colours are usually gray.They are friendly and intelligent animals.They live in social groups and they eat small fish.

MONKEY
Monkeys live in trees, grasslands, mountains, forests, and on high plains. A group of monkeys is called a troop. Most primates share six basic features: forward-facing eyes, eye sockets, grasping hands, nails, fingerprints, and large brains. Monkeys are most easily distinguished from apes by their tails.

Polar Bears are 90-130 kg mammals.They are 1,5-2 meters tall.You can see them in the Arctic.They have small ears and round faces but strong paws.They are carnivores.

They are endangered animals because people hunt them for their fur.Their fur is valuable and very expensive.On the other hand, they are becoming extinct because of global warming.It rises the average temperature of the poles and destroys their habitat.


Tigers are dangerous and wild animals.You can see them in Nepal and South Africa.They can run very fast.

Their main prey are zebras.They have got very sharp theeth and they are strong.They attack and kill their prey.

Squirrel
Squirrels are familiar to almost everyone. More than 200 squirrel species live all over the world.
Squirrels are generally small animals.

Our family includes tree squirrels, ground squirrels, chipmunks, marmots (including groundhogs), flying squirrels, and prairie dogs amongst other rodents.
We have four teeth in the front of our mouth that constantly grow throughout our lives. This ensures that our teeth to stay strong for gnawing on nuts and other objects.

Trout
Trout usually live in cool freshwater, often among submerged objects or in riffles and deep pools.
In rivers, trout are territorial and will often chase away other trout from their feeding lies and bolt holes. In lakes, where there is no localized "preferred area" to defend, trout are less aggressive.

Trout

The Balkans in Europe is a centre of endemism (uniqueness) for brown trout. In this region, four sub-species, distinct in both appearance and habits can be found; these onlude the Ohrid Trout, Marble Trout, Softmouth Trout and Dentex Trout.


Rhinoceroses are large, herbivorous mammals. They have between 24 to 34 teeth, depending on the species. Rhinos have fantastic hearing and a great sense of smell, but have terrible eyesight.

The biggest of the five surviving species are Africa's white rhino and Asia's greater one-horned rhinos.
Their horns are sometimes sold as trophies or decorations, but more often used in traditional Chinese medicine.



SEALS
The seal is a carnivorous mammal that usually feeds on fish, squid, shellfish, crustaceans or sea birds. They can survive both in polar and in tropic water. Seals are divided in two families: one that includes seals with ears, like sea lion, and other that includes earless seals, like common seal. There are 33 species of seals in total.

Seals spend much of their life in water, but they mate, give birth to babies and take care of them on the shore. Seals have more blood in their body than other animals. Their blood cells keep the oxygen, so they can dive longer than other animals. Seal can hold its breath for 2 hours and this is a record in the animal world.

KANGAROO

Kangaroos live in Australia ,they stay in their mother's pouch for a while.The most important feature of kangaroo is that it goes by jumping while going somewhere.The kangaroo is also called 'marsupial animal'



Kangaroos can’t walk backwards.
Kangaroos have very powerful legs and can be dangerous at times.
Kangaroos can jump very high, sometimes three times their own height.
Kangaroos can swim.
Most kangaroos eat grass.

(LAZY ANIMAL)




It is a chameleon. It likes warm locations such as rain forests and deserts. It lives on the Mediterrenean Coast.I eats insects.It is a reptile. It changes its color. It moves its eyes independently. It doesn’t have ears but it isn’t deaf. It can detect sounds. It has got a sticky tongue for catching insects. It can live for more than 10 years.



It is a sloth. It lives in South America. It likes tropical rainforests. It has got long arms. It likes spending 15 to 20 hours per day sleeping. It is a mammal. It has thick skin. It has a smiling expression. It eats leaves. It is good at climbing and positioning itself vertically. It likes being alone. It is known as a lazy animal because it moves slowly. It lives for about 20 years.

The tongue is very long and black.
The lengt is 5-6 m.
They live in Africa.
They weight about 1.5 tons on average.
The longest giraffe in the world is located in Kenya.


Pandas

Pandas are amazing animals. They live about 25-30 years. They spend almost 14 hours eating. Pandas weigh from 70 to 100 kg. They have a soft but quite hard coat. A newborn panda weighs 900 times less than its mother.

Zebras

Zebras have white and black colour. Actually, they are black animals with white stripes. They live 30 years. The body length of zebras can reach 2-2.5 meters and height is up to 1.5 meters. Zebras are wild animals that can't be domesticated.

PENGUINS

We are penguins, a bird that cannot fly. But we can jump 1.8 meters above the water.
We live in the southern hemisphere. Many people think we live only at the pole. However, we live even in South Africa.

When the emperor penguins have eggs, the males incubate as the females go to find food. They are carnivores. They love to slip.
They spend half the day
in water and the other
half on land. There
is a profession called "penguinologist".

- Their natural habitat is the Far East.
- In the spring, it goes to breed in Northeast China and the eastern parts of Mongolia and Russia.
- They don't live in Turkey.
- In addition to their beauty, these birds also have bad traits like being invasive.
- They can compete with other species.
- The males are colorful, the females are unpretentious.

We are very sorry for these animals. We won't see them any more. We hope other animals won't become extinct.
