Kuchisake Onna is a famous Japanese legend about a woman who, after being murdered, returns
as a Yökai, which has been a demonic spirit, to take revenge.

The story goes that a long time ago there was a woman, beautiful and vain in equal parts
that due to its enormous beauty was sought after by many other men.
Of so many who desired her, she chose to marry an important samurai.

But the suitors did not give up, at first she ignored her admirers, but
her husband had to go to war and soon began to feel very lonely.
Finally, she fell for the charms of one of the suitors.

Her husband had been away too long and she was the most beautiful woman in the whole city
and ... tired of waiting for it, she decided she could do whatever she wanted, so she kept relating
with the best suitors, who were getting richer, more powerful and stronger.

But as we all know, rumors fly, and it ended up reaching the ears of the samurai a
story of a beautiful woman, accessed only by the strongest men who wanted her.
Hearing this story, the samurai, who was very proud, became very curious
for this girl, even though he was married.

One fine day, the samurai came back and went out drinking with some friends to celebrate his return.
The party ended up dragging on well into the night, when one of his friends told him.

And the samurai, confident of himself, decided to go and pretend
to the beautiful lady.
The closer the place was, the more familiar it was, but he put it down to alcohol.
Suddenly they stood in front of a nice red door and his friend said

but the samurai was speechless, he said nothing and the friend joked

and the samurai very seriously replied
Then he kicked in the door, ran to the bedroom, and there he found
his wife with another man.
The woman was totally pale after seeing how, instantly, her husband had gone through
the man he was with and while he drew the sword from his side the samurai
He said

then he grabbed her with great force, put the sword in her mouth and full of jealousy and fury
he cut her mouth, while the lady did not stop screaming.
It is said that the woman became the demon spirit, the kuchisake-onna who returned
to the world with a huge thirst for revenge.

She appears to be a completely normal woman and covers her wounds by wearing a mask,
which in Japan is very normal, since many take them to prevent diseases.

Kuchisake-onna roams the streets looking for victims on especially dark nights
and dark, she will approach them and ask them.
if you let yourself be carried away by its beauty and you answer yes, it will slowly remove the mask
letting see her horrible scars, and she will ask you again
