There were many cats
sitting on the school
mats.

Some were Black Cats, White Cats and
Chinese Cats. They were all the same
size except one who was a Fat Cat

Fat Cat is sweet and playful. Yet everyone still stayed
away from him because he was bigger.

Everyday at school Black Cat, White Cat,
and Chinese Cat abused Fat Cat.

Ugly!

Beware
GIANT!

They called Fat Cat mean names and
made him cry.

Black Cat, White Cat and Chinese Cat ate
lunch together and shared their snacks.
While Fat cat ate his lunch alone in the
corner.

Black Cat seen Fat Cat eating black beans
for lunch. He felt sorry for Fat Cat, so he
made his toward him and asked...

Are you hungry? Would
you like to join me and
the other cats?

Yes! Thank
you!

Black Cat brought Fat cat to the others. Fat
cat was nervous because he was not sure if
White Cat and Chinese Cat was okay with it.

White Cat and Chinese Cat asked, "What
is he doing here?" Black Cat stood up
and said, "We are all different in our own
ways. We are all beautiful and uniqe. We
are all Cats of the world."

White Cat and Chinese Cat said sorry to
Fat Cat. From then on they all accepted
each other for who they are and how
they looked.

About the Author
My name is Lerissa Nicolas. I am a 12th grader at
Waipahu High School. I wrote this book to teach
children that everyone is different. No one is
normal and we have to accept people for who they
are. Their appearance should not matter either.
We are all one in this world. Treat others with
respect and everyone will be happy.
