Once upon a time, in CNStopia, there existed a magical tree. Everyday people came out to gather around and admire it, but no one dared touch it; except one day someone finally did. Brian, a little boy who went to see the tree with his parents everyday, snuck out of his house one night to visit the tree and discovered that it had a magical ability; THE POWER TO TALK!

Brian was very surprised by this because he had never seen something as magical as this before. The tree looks at him and says, “Hi Brian, my name is Groot, how are you?” Brian exclaims, “Hi Groot! You know my name?” Groot, surprised with his question, tells him, “Well Brian I am responsible for everyone in CNStopia! You see all these branches? They all do something for our life here! I would be happy to tell you how it all works!” Brian quickly sits down and listens to Groot.

Groot tells Brian that every single part of him has a purpose and that their names are related to how it works and why it's so important. He starts off by talking about the bottom branch, which he named the “Respira”. This branch makes sure that the townspeoples’ hearts are working and that they can breathe. Without this branch, the people wouldn’t be able to wake up every day and get blood to pump through their body.

Groot then goes on to explain the significance of this bundle of little branches, “Atenta”, within “Respira” to Brian. The little branches, even though they’re tiny, fragile, and seem like they don’t matter, are extremely important. “Atenta” is responsible for making sure the townspeople can sleep, maintain attentiveness, and awareness when needed. Without “Atenta”, the townspeople would not be able to rest their bodies, which is very important!

The next part Groot explains is the branch right above “Respira”. He calls this branch “Tranquila” and it completes almost the same exact task as “Atenta”. Like with “Atenta”, the townspeople would not be able to sleep and rest their bodies without “Tranquila.

Groot then points right behind “Tranquila” and tells Brian that this branch is called “Movimiento.” Groot explains that it is responsible for making sure that the townspeople can move and form memories. Without “Movimento,” the townspeople wouldn’t be able to walk or remember how to do basic things like ride a bike or swim. "I can't even imagine not knowing how to walk!" Brian exclaims. "Exactly why it's so important," Groot responds.

Brian asks Groot about the big hole in the center of his trunk and he tells him that that is “The Emocionada Gap”, a place where four important branches stick out from. One of these branches is “Controladora.” This branch is above all the other branches and it has the power to control the messages being sent to the “Protectora” which are the leaves. Without “Controladora”, Groot wouldn’t be able to give the townspeople the ability to experience the five senses (touch, taste, vision, smell, hear).

Another important branch of “The Emocionada Gap” Groot calls “Directora.” This branch allows Groot to do simple things like eat and drink. On top of that, it is one of the many branches that Groot uses to allow the townspeople to feel emotion. Without “Directora,” the townspeople would not have the ability to have or control emotions as well as do things like eat or process food.

Another branch of “The Emocionada Gap,” is one that Groot calls “Memoria.” Groot tells Brian, “Remember that test you took last week?” Brian smiles and says, “Yes, my science test. I think I did really well!” Groot responds, “Well I’m glad Brian! That was because of the “Memoria” branch, in “The Emocionada Gap.” This branch helps me help the townspeople remember things like facts; just like you remembered the exact steps of the water cycle.”

As their conversation continues, Groot tells Brian about the final branch of “The Emocionada Gap,” the “Amargura” bundle. He points to the two branches that are more rounded than the others and tells him that these branches are what let the townspeople feel emotions like fear and anger. Brian asks, “But Groot, why would anyone want to feel anger or fear? Why wouldn’t everyone want to be happy all the time?” Groot smiles softly and says, “Well Brian, we wouldn’t understand happiness if that was the only thing we felt. Emotions like anger and fear make happiness special, so they are just as important!”

Groot then continues to tell him about the other branches surrounding his trunk. Groot shows Brian a branch above “Tranquila” and says that it’s the “Vista” branch. Brian asks him what this branch does and Groot tells him that this branch is the reason why everyone in the town can see! Without this branch, Brian wouldn’t be able to recognize all these branches and talk to him like he is now.

The branch in front of "Vista" is called the "Auditoria," says Groot. This branch processes the sounds you hear with your ears. "Without it, you wouldn't be able to listen to me right now!" Groot says. "Oh no!" Brian yells while covering his ears. "Don't worry, your ears are working just fine thanks to the Auditoria."

On top of the "Vista" and the "Auditoria," Groot points to the "Sensoria." The "Sensoria" processes information and turns it into senses such as taste and touch. This branch also helps the townspeople control their body temperature; "It's the reason why your body feels cold in the winter and hot in the summer," Groot explains. "Wow.." Brian says with amazement.

"The branch in front of the Sensoria is called the Pensamienta," Groot says. This beautiful branch is in charge of the townspeoples' emotional control and creative thoughts. "As an artist, you may have a strong connection with the Pensamienta," Groot says. "My mom says that I'm the best painter!" Brian says cheerfully. "There you go," Groot chuckles.

Behind the "Pensamienta," is the "Movera," Groot says. This "Movera" branch allows you to move your body. "Without it, you wouldn't have been able to walk all the way over here to talk to me," Groot explains. "Thanks to Movera, I can do this!" Brian jumps up and gives Groot a high five. "That is true," Groot laughs.
