General Description
The height of a male Rottweiler is 24-27 in. tall and
for females is 22-25 in. tall. The size of these dogs are
considered a medium large, and his compact and
substantial build shows that they are of great strength,
agility, and endurance. The weight of a male Rottweiler
is 95-130lbs. and for a female is 85-115lbs. Rottweilers
are very strong and powerful dogs, and usually have a
very deep, broad chest. The coat of a Rottweiler is short,
thick fur that is black wit rust to mahogany markings on
its cheeks, muzzle, paws, and legs. All Rottweilers have
dewclaws which are normally removed. Some people
say that there are two types of Rottweilers which are the
German Rottweilers which are said to be short and
stalky, and the American Rottweiler which is said to be
taller and leggier.

The preferred size for this dog is being of mid
range of each gender. The length from nose to tail is
slightly longer than the height of the dog. The head is of
medium length and broad between the ears. The desired
ratio of the back of the head to the front is 3:2. The
eyes are almond shaped with well fitting eye lids,
moderately deep-set. The rottweiler has 42 teeth; 20
upper teeth and 22 lower teeth. The neck is long,
powerful, and well muscled with a slight arch with no
loose skin.



Training
The rottweiler is the most intelligent dog breed
which makes them very easy to train. This dog breed
can be trained for serious competitive obedience trails,
but you must begin training when they are a puppy.
When a rottweiler receives constant leadership and is
trained will be well with children. When training, the
owner needs to be strong minded, calm, but firm, and
able to handle the dog.
Temperament
The rottweiler has a reliable temperament and
are proved they are worth in police, military, and
custom work. Rottweilers are very loyal, protective,
serious, even-tempered, brave, confident, and
courageous.
