This book is dedicated to my friends & family!

In a far away kingdom there lived two girls, Ella and Elaine. Ella was the eldest sister and Elaine was the younger. They lived in a big castle, they were princesses. Ella was really mean and selfish. She loved to hurt everyone including her sister, but Elaine was really kind to her kingdom and her father, she believed her father, the king, would hand over the kingdom to her in the future. Elaine was really kind, loving and helpful, she never complained to her father.

One day, the king decided to divide the kingdom into two equal halves for his daughters. He asked Ella "Ella, what is it that you like most in the world?" Ella thought if she told him pearls or jewels, her father might be displeased and give the whole kingdom to Elaine. Instead she lied, "Father of course it is that you like the most in the world.'' She smiled and said.

When it was Elaine's turn she smiled and said ''Oh father are millions of thing I like. But the best ones are the rain, rainbow, people smiling and helping other people. The king got very angry. And he punished Elaine, he asked her to leave the kingdom for a week. She left the castle really sad. She started walking out when she heard tiny voices crying and searched for them. It took some time for her to realize it was coming from down below. It was the cries of ants. She inquired of them. The ants spoke in between cries "There was a heavy downpour and it splashed our ant hill." Elaine felt sad for them and helped them re- build it. "I have collected some mud and I can help build your anthill in a better area." Elaine succeeded in the task. The ants jumped and thanked her.

She started to continue her journey when she heard someone sobbing. It was a coconut tree. Elaine inquired the reason for the sobbing. The tree answered that none of them had watered it in a few days and hence it may die. Elaine said "Don't worry, my friend, I will help you." There was a lake nearby and she dug a narrow canal from the lake to the tree, so that the tree could be constantly. The coconut tree thanked her and Elaine continued her journey. She saw a cow and calf crying. She went to them and calmed both of them. The calf cried "My mum has not had any hay for many days, if this continues she will not be able to feed me, I will starve. Our master is not here, if he had been here he would have fed my mom." Elaine reassured the calf not to worry. She went to search for some hay and grass. She returned with a big bundle of hay. She fed the hay to the cow, the calf and cow thanked her.
She waved and walked happily.

As she walked further along, she entered a forest. At a distance she saw a hut, she wanted to rest and so knocked on the door. An old lady opened the door. Elaine asked her if she could have some food and take some rest, in turn she would do all the work in her house. The old lady invited her in. She gave Elaine some food, she did not tell the old lady that she is a princess because she did not want to be treated like one. Elaine stayed in the hut and did all the work for a week.
