Hello there!
We've got threequestion for you.

1. How can technology tools improve
communication between teachers and
students, parents, or peers?
2. How can these tools hinder communication
efforts?
3. Why do issues surrounding the use of
technology in education endure?

Do you have an answer?
Would you like to hear what we think?
Well, we're going to tell
you even if you don't!

1. We think that technology can open so many doors
for students, teachers and parents. Through computer
programs such as Microsoft word, excel, publisher, and
powerpoint especially. With these programs teachers
can create regular newsletters for parents, while also
utilizing them to create hands-on assignments for their
students. By doing this, it gives students a chance to
gain experience with these programs. Teachers can
also create online blogs for their classrooms or for
parents. They can have students work collaboratively
on both the blog and the Microsoft programs, while
also communicating important information to parents.

2. We also believe that using these tools can
actually hinder communication efforts between
students, teachers and parents. The major
problem that communication through
technology faces is the fact that there are man
people out there who do not have access to
technology or efficient Internet access. If a
teacher decides to use technology as their only
form of communication, then these people
could potentially be missing out on a lot of
need-to-know information.

We still have one very important question to answer.
Now we ask you to please bear with us.

3. We really believe that issues surrounding
access to technology endure for for many
reasons. It seems as though people are always
trying to find a way to provide everyone in this
nation with Internet access. One suggestion has
been government-provided access. In reality this
is a very difficult concept. In order to provide
everyone with access, our government would
most likely be the ones who pay for this with tax
money. Well, it doesn't seem like this idea would
sit well with many citizens; they would probably
want their tax money going toward something
they feel is more important.

Question 3 continued.
That is just one of the many reasons why we
continue to face problems. No body will ever
fully agree on a solution because not every
solution works for ever person.

But we felt these questions were important ones to ask.
We felt the answers were
even more important.
We're sorry for all of the text.We really are.
