One morning, Jaycee woke up and got out of bed to prepare for school. “I hope I do well on the test” Jaycee said to herself. 

She prepared her things, and went downstairs to eat breakfast.

When Jaycee came down to eat breakfast, her mom opened the TV and saw the breaking news.

Classes and works will be suspended due to COVID 19

Jaycee’s mom told her that she doesn’t have classes due to COVID 19.  So she finished breakfast and went upstairs to change her clothes.  Jaycee’s mom also had to work from home.

Hello Pongki, I'm back!

Thinking that the final examinations will still push through, Jaycee continued reviewing for her exams.  A week after, the Department of Education announced the cancellation of exams and other school activities which later on led to the wrapping up of the school year.  

Due to the announcement of Community Quarantines, most people especially children were directed to stay at home for safety.  To make use of her time, Jaycee read her books but got bored eventually. She texted her best friend, Maya, and had a long conversation. 

Later on, Jaycee’s dad came home and they ate lunch together. After lunch, Jaycee and her family decided to watch Netflix.

Months have passed and the COVID 19 remains uncontrolled.  Meanwhile, the number of infected individuals as well as the death toll continuously rising.  

The usual school opening every June was also pushed back and the government eventually announced its decision to implement online schooling.

Having been staying at home for months became so boring for Jaycee as well as for her friends and classmates.
