Once upon a time, there lived a happy bear named Barry. His day started off on a negative note when he discovered that 8 bees appeared and decreased his honey pot from 10 pounds to 3 pounds.

Barry remained positive and decided to have a day full of positive and exciting adventures to take his mind off of the negative experience he just had with his honey pot. 

Barry decided to first play a game of football. On the 1st play, he ran for a 8 yard gain. On the 2nd play he had a 5 yard loss. On the final play of the game, Barry had a 24 yard gain to win the game!! What a positive start to his adventure!

Barry then decided to go mountain hiking on Bear Mountain. Bear mountain is 850 feet above sea level. Barry climbed up 300 ft. in the first hour and 500 ft. in the second hour. In the 3rd hour, how many feet did he ascend to get to the peak of 850 ft. mountain?

For the next adventure, Barry went deep sea diving in Little Bear River. He swam 244 feet below sea level on his first dive. and 156 feet below sea level on his second deep sea dive. How many feet below sea level did he he descend in total on his two dives?

Barry wanted to see snow next, so he took a trip to Polar Bear Artic Land. The weather was 6 degrees below zero. When Barry left the temperature dropped by 12 more degrees. How many degrees below zero was it once the temperature dropped by 12 degrees? 

Barry needed to warm up  so he took a trip to the Blazing Bear Desert. The temperature was 110 degrees Fahrenheit. One hour later, the temperature rose by 20 degrees. What is the new temperature of the desert after this 20 degree rise?

Barry's day was slowly but surely becoming positive and better. He went to the Bear Bucks Bank to withdraw $75 from his account. As he left, he found $100 dollars on the floor. So he decided to deposit that $100 dollars into his account. His day kept getting better and better.
