I think maybe love isn't made up of grand gestures or explosive displays but that it's made up of the little things.

He was a Serb and she was a Bosnian, and even death couldn't separate them.
Bosko and Admira met in the first grade of high school in Sarajevo. That was the love at first sight. At that time Sarajevo was the host of the Winter Olympics. They were together all the time, and everybody knew about them and their love. Everything was peaceful and full of colors. Bosko and Admira had been making plans together for the future before everything fell apart and the war came.
Bosko could escape with his parents but he didn't want to leave Admira, so he stayed. Admira believed that nothing could separate them, not even the war, only death could separate them.
During the war when everyone was a target and people were scared, these two were thinking of the ways how to escape and reach the freedom that was on the other side of Miljacka.

"Only death can separate us".
Bosko and Admira
They had been planning to cross the Grbavica bridge that separated Serbian and Bosnian part, and that way, they would be free and together, before the actual death tried to separate them.
Bosko and Admira were crossing the bridge when someone shot at them. Bosko was first to fall and died there, Admira was wounded, but she had used her last strength to crawl to Bosko and to hug him before she died too. They were 25 at that time. Bosko and Admira had been lying together in that place 7 days before they buried them together.
American journalist, Kurt Schok, heard about them, and he wrote many articles about their love. He even wanted to be buried as close as possible to them. When he died, they buried half of his ashes in New York, and half beside Bosko and Admira'a grave.
There are songs about them, like song "Bosko and Admira" by Zabranjeno Pusenje. People didn't forget them even after all these years, they become something like symbol.
