For my best students from class 4.
Remember: English matters.

It is winter. A beautiful queen sits at the window in her palace and listens to her favourite English records. She likes learning English very much so she spends a lot of time improving her English. The snowflakes are falling from the sky and the queen thinks :
‘I want to have a child as white as snow.’
Soon she has a little daughter, who is as white as snow, so they call her Snow White.
Years and seasons pass. Spring, summer, autumn, winter …

A few years later the queen dies and her husband marries another woman who is beautiful but very cruel. She is Snow White’s stepmother.
The stepmother is very bad at English but she wants to be the best in the world.

The stepmother has a magic mirror.
Stepmother: ‘Mirror, mirror on the wall
Whose English is the best of all?’
Mirror: ‘Yours, my queen, is the best of all’
and adds : ‘…in the castle, of course.’
Months and years pass. January, February, March, April …..

Snow White plays in the castle and sings in the big garden. ……., May, June, July, August …
She also learns English . …. September, October, November, December….
Snow White grows up and when she is 16 years old she likes English very much. She reads English books and listens to English songs.

But her stepmother still asks the magic mirror.
Stepmother: ‘Mirror, mirror on the wall
Whose English is the best of all?’
Mirror: ‘Yours, my queen, is quite good’
The mirror laughs and adds: ‘but Snow White is better than you.’
Stepmother: ‘Oh, no! She is better than me! I must do something!’
She calls Snow White.
Stepmother: ‘Come here my little girl. You are not so bad at English. Sit down and teach me.’
Snow White: ‘With pleasure. So let’s start. What’s this?’ She points to the dictionary.

Stepmother: ‘A bok*.’
Snow White: ‘No, it’s a BOOK. But what kind of book is it?’
Stepmother: ‘I don’t know.’
Snow White: ‘A dictionary. Repeat, please.’
Stepmother: ‘Dikshary*
Snow White: ‘No, d i c t i o n a r y’
Stepmother: ‘Dish… Oh, no, you can’t teach! Go away! Leave the castle and don’t come back! Never. Can you hear me? Never.’
Snow White is very sad. She leaves the castle. She walks through the big forest.
Hours pass ….. one o’clock, two o’clock, three o’clock ……, eight o’clock.
Snow White walks and walks. Suddenly she sees a little cottage.
Snow White: ‘What a nice little cottage! Who can live here?’
She knocks on the door.
Echo: ‘There is nobody here, nobody here.’
Snow White comes in. She looks at little tables, little chairs and little plates. She is very tired and goes to bed.
