I dedicate this book to my cousins for showing me the beauty and fun of a camping adventure and experience.

Lets go camping!

    A girl named Katie came to this new town a few months ago and she came with her parents." Mom, Dad, I am really bored and I am free for the whole week and I have nothing to do." Said Katie. 

   Her mother replied, " Well, you have many things to do like play with your toys or color." Katie quickly speaks, "Children in my class talk about camping and how fun it is, maybe we can go camping."                    

     "That is a great idea, Katie." said the dad. " Yes, you guys go pack some stuff for camping and I will see what place we can go to," said Katie's mom. 

    Katie and her dad went to pack up everything they needed while Katie's mom went to look for a campsite.

It is a perfect place mom!

    After a few hours, Katie came to the living room and saw her mom looking online to go to the best campground. "Mom, I am done packing my clothes. Can I help look for a campsite?” 

     Katie’s mom said, “ Sure Katie, come look, I found this campsite called Santa Village.” 

    Katie looked at the computer screen and saw all the pictures and said, “ I love it! This is the perfect place, and there will be Santa!” 

    Katie's mother laughed a little and said, “ Ok, I will book the campsite and until then, you go help your dad.” 

    Katie ran to help her dad.

    Katie’s mom was in front of the house waiting for Katie and her dad. “ Come on guys, we are gonna be late otherwise!” Katie’s mom shouted. After a little time, Katie helped her mom and dad put the bags in the car. They all sat inside the car and started the journey to go to Santa Village

    Katie started to daydream about how Santa Village will look like. She imagined she will go to Santa and get big gifts, she will be sleeping under the stars, and she will be toasting marshmallows with her parents.

I am done setting up everything!

    After a 2 hour drive, Katie jumped out and looked up at the big sign above her head that says, “ Welcome to Santa Village!” 

    Katie was super excited and took her bag of clothes and ran to the camp. "Katie!” said her mom,” wait for me you can get lost!” 

    Katie spun around admiring the fresh air. She was super happy and couldn’t wait to start the trip. Katie walked with her mom and dad to the campsite. "Ok, Katie, go help your dad get the tent and I will get the table.” 

    “Ok, mom.” 

    The family set up the tent and the tables. The mom picked up the wood to start a fire and the dad put some chairs around the fire. Katie couldn’t wait to start exploring

Let's go to the pool!

Great idea Katie.

    The family sat around the fire and started to talk about what they wanted to do. 

 There were so many places to think of, but Katie knew the first place she wanted to see. "I know, I know, we should go to the pool first!” shouted Katie. 

    “ That is a great idea, Katie,” her father said. 

    Katie loved to swim. The family got their swimsuits and walked to the swimming pool.

That pool is haunted. Let's leave now.

    Katie heard a group of children saying that this place is magical. One of the other boys said, "No way this place is magical you can’t find anything here that is magical.” 

    The other boy said, "But why do you think nobody goes to the pool anymore. It is because it is magical and nobody dares to go in it.” 

    The other boy laughed and said, “ No way, that pool is just haunted or something, it can’t have magic.”

    Katie got a bit scared but she was brave and jumped in the pool."There is nothing magical about this pool,” Katie says quietly. 

    Katie puts her goggles on and dives deep into the pool. While she dives Katie sees something moving in the pool. She swims closer and starts to realize that she can breathe in the water. She goes closer to the moving items in the water and suddenly sees so many of them. 

    She swims closer and sees there are so many sea animals swimming around. She sees turtles, fishes, crabs, even a shark! She knew that this was the magic happening in the pool. She starts swimming with sea animals and admires everything happening.

    All the sea animals start going above the water and so does Katie. Katie rises her head above the water and sees all the sea animals starting to fly above Katie’s head and slowly Katie rises to the air. 

    Katie floats with the magical sea animals and suddenly her mom says, "Katie, come on we need to go find new attractions to go to now.” 

    Right after Katie’s mom said that all the sea animals disappeared and Katie splashed down to the water. Katie was confused and got out of the pool where her mom was waiting there, holding a towel for her.

    The family was covered in towels wrapped around the fire. “The pool was very cold but really cool too!” said Katie. 

    Her mother answered,” Oh really?” 

     “Yes! The sea animals were swimming with me and I flew with them high up in the sky!” said Katie. 

    Her mom replied” Um really but how could that be possible-” Then the father added, “ It’s just a child's imagination, really big huh.”

   Katie looked at her parents confused and just ignored the fact that they did not think it was real. Katie thought of an idea of where to go next.

I flew up in the sky with the sea animals!

 "Oh mom, I have an idea, maybe we can go to where all the children go to get presents and wishes?”

     Then her mother said confused, “ Umm where Katie?” 

     Katie replied, “ Oh come on mom….Santa!” 

     “ Oh yes! Let's go after lunch shall we?”, her mom replied.

     ” Sure mom”, said Katie. 

    The lovely family sat together around the fire eating homemade burgers and salads. The family talked, smiled, laughed, and had fun eating together.

    After 30 minutes they headed to where Santa will be. Katie thought of a wishlist she will give to Santa on what she wants. They came to Santa’s chair surrounded by kids. Katie joined the kids and the parents joined the other adults talking. Santa spoke in a jolly voice,” Ho ho ho, ok children now line up in a straight line and turn by turn, tell me what you want for Christmas.”

    Half of the line of children was gone and it was finally Katie’s turn. "Ok now child what is your name and what do you want for Christmas this year?” said Santa. 

    "Well my name is Katie and this year I want something special,” said Katie quietly. 

    “ Well, anything for a special girl,” said Santa. 

     "Santa, for Christmas I want to be a magical Princess with wings and magical powers!” Katie said in excitement.

Hohoho!

Dad!

    Santa replied,” Oh Katie you don't need to wish that, your wish will already come true here.” 

     “ But how Santa?” asked Katie.

     “ All you need to do is go to the Forest tour and use your mind and imagination.” Said Santa. 

    Santa passed Katie a wrapped up gift and he flicked his fingers and magically put a Santa hat on Katie. Katie took the gift and ran to her parents. Katie was about to tell her parents about what Santa said, but then she knew they wouldn't believe her so she tapped her dad on the shoulder.
