Cayden's Preschool Experience

This is Cayden.
Cayden sure loves school!
He is so eager to get to school.
He rides in the car with his family and when he sees his school he sits up high in his car seat.

The car door opens, Cayden jumps out of his car seat and away he goes, up the sidewalk and straight to the door. He jiggles the knob and knocks real hard. He doesn’t stop until he can see his teacher on the way. The teacher opens the door, Cayden says really loud, “Morning”! The teacher smiles wide and laughs. She says, “Hello Cayden”, are you ready to start your day?

Cayden loves his time at school. He eats breakfast with his friends, he learns lessons, and then it’s play time. He has to take a nap too and then he eats his lunch and goes outside for walks. Cayden loves school so much that when mommy picks him up, he cries! Cayden wants to play all day.

Cayden’s teachers try to get him to leave without crying. Cayden’s mom tries to get him to leave without crying. Sometimes Cayden’s auntie comes along to try to get Cayden to leave without crying. They would try different things like giving him cars or showing him toys in his mommy’s car. Cayden would say, “NO” real loud!

Cayden loved McDonalds! They would say, "Cayden, do you want to go to McDonalds"? Cayden would say, “NO” to everything they asked!

They would say, “Cayden, you can come back tomorrow to learn and play” but Cayden kept saying, “no”. The teacher has to help Cayden’s mommy pick him up and carry him to the car. He would fight to hold on to the door and cried real loud.

When Cayden was safe in his seatbelt, he would say goodbye to his friends and "goodbye school-school”. Cayden’s aunt would start the drive back home. The next day, Cayden would do it all over again. Every day, “Morning! and Hello school! But he would scream and cry when it was time to go home.

This went on for weeks and weeks. Cayden’s aunt thought about this a lot. She decided she needed to talk to Cayden a little more. She wanted to help him understand why he has to leave school every day. She told him that the teachers needed to go home to be with their families. They need their rest so they can teach him and all his friends their ABC’s and 123’s. She said, “Cayden, you're not the only one that has to go home. You know, your friends have to go home to be with their families too.
