Secret Keeper Girl is an event born out of Dannah Gresh's book, "Secret Keeper: The Delicate Power of Modesty", a book originally written for teen girls. Now, it is a special event for tweens and their moms. The mission of Secret Keeper Girl is to help moms and daughters grow closer to each other and closer to Jesus. They teach the secrets of true beauty, purity, and modesty.

Secret Keeper Girl events include live worship sessions, Bible teaching on true beauty, and their famous modesty fashion shows. Each fashion show includes three of their seven "truth or bare" fashion tests. These tests encourage girls to use common sense and good judgment when they dress, plus it teaches them that they can still be cool while dressing modestly. Here are the seven tests.

TEST 1: SPRING VALLEY

Is my shirt too tight?

Take your fingers and place them in the "valley" of your shirt. Does your shirt bounce back as you remove your fingers? If so, that shirt is too tight, but try buying a bigger size. Buy based on fit.

TEST 2; RAISE AND PRAISE

Am I showing too much stomach?

Raise both arms in the air, as if you are praising the Lord. Look at yourself in the mirror. Do you see any stomach? If so, poke yourself. The stomach issue can easily be fixed with a longer shirt underneath.

TEST 3: OVER AND OUT

Can you see my underwear through my pants?

Bend over and touch your toes. Ask a girlfriend to look behind you. Can she see your underwear through your pants? Try a lighter pair of underwear for those pants. White and tan work best!

TEST 4: MIRROR, MIRROR

How short is too short?

Sit in front of a mirror, either cross-legged on the floor or in a chair wearing a skirt or shorts. Do you see too much thigh? If so, your shorts or skirt are too short, but don't worry! Try buying a longer set, or wear capri pants underneath.

TEST 5: PLUMBER TEST

Are my pants just too low?

Sit on the floor, legs crossed. Lean slightly forward and reach behind you. Does it feel like your pants are too low? Put on a long shirt and tuck it into those pants!

TEST 6: STAND IN THE GAP

Is my button-down shirt too tight?

Stand sideways and look at yourself. Is there a gaping hole between those buttons? Try a bigger size!

TEST 7: PALM PILOT

Is my shirt too low?

Place your thumb on your collarbone. Do you see any skin showing below your hand? Put another shirt on under that one! A quick and easy cleavage coverage tool!

Make no mistake, Secret Keeper Girl! God wants you to be sensible and dress modestly. Being a secret keeper is a tough job, but with the help of the Holy Spirit, you can keep the secrets of true beauty and modesty and impact the lives of others around you. God will see it, and He smiles. He loves when we learn to live modestly.
