Daleko, daleko iza guste šume stajala je močvara. Dio močvare bio je svijetao i osunčan, a dio crn i mračan.

    Far, far behind the dense forest stood a swamp. Part of the swamp was bright and sunny, and part dark.

There were a lot of inhabitants in the swamp- turtles, frogs, tadpoles, butterflies, fish and snakes. Most were birds, storks, swans, wild ducks, barn owls, jays, herons and finches. The cheerful inhabitants lived in harmony and joy.

 U močvari je bilo puno stanovnika- kornjača, žaba, punoglavaca, leptira riba i zmija. Najviše je bilo ptica, rode, labudovi, divlje patke, sova ušara, šojke, čaplje i zebe. Veseli stanovnici živjeli su u slozi i veselju.

U močvari su bila dva prijatelja labuda- crni Emi i bijeli Maksić. Danas su se dogovorili kako će otići istražiti crni dio močvare.

There were two swan friends in the swamp - black Emi and white Maksić. Today they agreed to go and explore the black part of the swamp.

Igra je trajala sve dok Maksić nije pao u blato. Emi je zvao prijatelje iz močvare. Brzo je stigla roda i izvukla Maksića.

    The game lasted until Maksić fell into the mud. Emi called friends from the swamp. The stork arrived quickly and pulled Maksić out.

Sastale su se sve životinje i dogovorile kako nitko ne smije u crnu močvaru.

All the animals met and agreed that no one should go into the black swamp.

One day, the barn owl decided to tell all the inhabitants of the swamp the secret of the black swamp.

Jednoga dana, sova ušara odlučila je ispričati svim stanovnicima močvare tajnu crne močvare.

Davno prije cijela močvara je bila svijetla i osunčana ali ljudi koji su svaki dan šetali pokraj nje bacali su smeće- papire, flaše, žvake. I tako je taj dio močvare bio sve više zagađen, a na kraju je postao crn i mračan.

A Long time ago the whole swamp was bright and sunny. But the people who walked next to it threw garbage every day- papers, bottles, chewing gums. And so that part of the swamp became more and more polluted, and eventually became black and dark.

Svi stanovnici močvare su se jako rastužili dok su slušali priču i počeli su razmišljati kako bi mogli spasiti crni dio močvare....

    All the inhabitants  of the swamp were very sad when they heard the story and started to  think how they could save the black part of the swamp.
