There once was a man named Midas. Midas was angry because he 

wasn't rich and he really wished he had all the money in the world. He 

decide to walk through the woods. Midas got tired so he decide to lay 

down for a while. Midas went into a long deep sleep. When he woke up 

it was quiet. Midas started walking feeling lost, forgetting which way 

he came from. He decided to go straight ahead, hoping he can find a 

way out of the forest. It started getting darker and the owls started 

hooting. 

Midas was walking through the creepy almost dark 

forest. He heard music in distance, so Midas decide to follow the 

music. He saw a man in a dark black clothing playing the guitar. The 

man asked Midas "Why such a sad face?" Midas replied " i just wish i 

was rich, that everything i touch would turn into gold." So the man did 

exactly what Midas wished for. 

Everything Midas touched turned into gold. Midas 

touched a trees and it turned to gold. He was the happiest man alive. 

Midas would touch a tree and it would turn to gold. 

As he skipped home he would touch everything in his sight and it 

would turn it to gold. As he stopped he got hungry so he reach up to the 

apple tree and grabbed an apple. As he tried to bite the apple it turned 

into stone.

Midas could not wait till he got home and tell his daughter that they 

where rich! He could not wait till he told her that everything he 

touched turned into gold and how lucky he is. Midas ran home because 

he could not wait any longer to spread the news. As he got home he 

touched everything in his way and it turned to gold. His made was 

astonished. She could not believe it. As she opened the door she just 

stared at everything Midas touched.

"Mary gold!" Midas shout for his daughter while gasping 

for air. "Yes Father" Mary gold replied. As Mary gold 

went down the stairs Midas shouted that they are rich. 

Midas and his daughter went to the living room and 

demonstrated to her that everything that he touched 

would turn to gold. They were both so joyful. Midas 

hugged her daughter so tightly, that she felt like a cold 

hard stone in his arms. As he let go of her gently, he 

saw that his daughter turned into a gold stone.
