The Greek Mythology
of Odysseus
By: Rafael Delgado

Odysseus who is the husband of Penelope, father of
Telemachus, and son of Laërtes is re-owned for his
brilliance, guile, and versatility and is also known as Odysseus
the Cunning as a cobra. Odysseus is most known for his long
journey it had taken him. After many months of traveling space
and the world, he finally got home it had taken him ten years
after the Trojan War and his famous Horse Ploy to capture the
City of Troy. His wife was as thrilled to see him return

The Trojan War was over because Odysseus had managed to
trick the enemy just like a cunning person by pretending and as a
gift they had given them a wooden horse as gift of surrender what
but the Trojans did not know that the horse was full of an army of
Odysseus's men. At night all the men had came out of the horse
opened the city gates and attacked the Trojans winning over
Trojan
City. After the War was over then began the journey of Odysseus
and his trip home.

Trojan War
In the story of Odysseus he meets different people, creatures, gods,
and goddesses. The gods and goddesses had helped him find his
way home. One god that had very bad hatred was Zeus. He had
hated him because Odysseus had hurt his son the cyclopes and said
that not even the power of his father which was Zeus could heal
him to make it better. After all that the Cyclopes had done to harm
Odysseus he had told the cyclopes his name and the cyclopes had to
apologize and care for Odysseus but he refused his hospitality.

Next they land on the Island of Aeolus. Zeus had made him
keeper of all the winds. Aeolus had let Odysseus stay by the rule
of hospitality, Odysseus had told him tales of Troy for a month
to keep him entertained. Aeolus was kind enough to provide a
nice steady breeze to guide him home. Soon they were a few miles
from home and Odysseus had dozed off, his crew noticed the bag
and they had opened it thinking it was gold and all winds were
released and the ship along with all the crew was sent back to the
Island of Aeolus

The Island of Aeolus
After a failed attempt to go home they now set sail and land on the
island of Circe. Odysseus had to split his crew into two groups not
after the split the crew had came across a stone house in the middle of
the woods. They had looked closer and it was surrounded by lions and
wolves. They had heard singing coming from the house, Circe had
came out and welcomed the crew members but one did not trust her
and he stood behind. Circe had given the men food and honeyed wine
which turned them into swine. The other crew member, Eurylochus
had ran back to tell Odysseus.

After Eurylochus had gone to tell Odysseus about what had
happened to the rest of his crew. Odysseus went to go deal with the
problem until Hermes had appeared to tell him that Circe is evil he
also came to tell him what to do. he had told him to drink the potion
that Circe give him knowing that Odysseus would be protected soon
enough he had managed to save all his crew members by wasting a
year there. Circe told him he can go but he had to go to the
underworld before he could set sail for home.
