There was once a king named Acrisius had a daughter named Danae. Oracle
told Acrisius that one day Danae would kill him. So he decided to lock her up in
a tower. Then one day zeus came to Danae and told her "I wish to make you my
wife and i can make this dark prison a wonderful sunny land with many
flowers."
Acrisius saw lighting from the tower and went to go check up on danae when he
walked in she was holding a baby in her arms, his name was Perseus. Acrisius
was furious with her and locked her and Perseus up in a large chest and sent
them
out to sea.

Danae and Perseus arrived to an island safely polydectes heard about
Danae and wanted to marry her but Danae rejected him. Polydectes would have
forced danae to marry him only if perseus wasn't there to protect her. One day
Polydectes decides to get rid of perseus so he pretends to marry a girl and has a
banquet for the wedding. Everyone had to bring a present for the wedding.
Polydectes pretends to be furious at Perseus because he did not bring a present he
yelled, "What no wedding present?" "I don't have money" exclaimed perseus.
Polydectes told him he wasn't good for anything. perseus was furious so he told
him i can get you anything then polydectes yelled bring me the head of the
gorgon Medusa! and perseus replied and said Fine!

Perseus went wondering off to go find the gorgons lair. He started thinking
that this was hopeless till he saw Hermes and Athena. They told him that we
have things to give you to help you slay Medusa. They gave him a winged
horse, a sickle that helped fight uranus and Zeus used against the mighty
typhoeus. Athena gave him a shield to reflect the image of Medusa so he could
turn her into stone. Hermes said "You must find Graeae and get them to tell you
how to find the Nymphs of the North they will give you a cap of darkness and
give you a magic wallet and tell you how to get to the gorgons lair. Hermes
said.

Perseus went to the cave of the Graeae. The Graeae were strange women there
were three women and they had one eye for all three of them they are constantly
fighting over it. Perseus went to go hide till they took the eye out and gave it to
another sister. Perseus came out of his hiding place and stole the eye. He
threatened not to give there eye back unless they told him how to find the Nymphs
of the north. So they told him how to find the Nymphs of the North. He
He gave them back there eye and flew off. He went to the Nymphs of the North
and they gave him the cap of the Darkness to make them invisible. He headed
farther north to go find the lair. Perseus ended up finding the lair full of Statues.

Perseus raised his shield and saw Medusa head and her sister asleep. He put
the cap of the Darkness and flew down. He swung the sickle and cut off her
head. While hes still looking threw the shield he puts Medusa's head in the
magic wallet. Medusa's sister woke up and attacked perseus he flew off before
he got hurt. On his way back to Seriphus he saw what looked like a statue
chained to a rock, he flew down and saw that it was not a statue, but it was a
women. She said "my name is Andromeda and i have been punished because of
my vain mother" she boasted that i was more beautiful then Nereids. Poseidon
was angry and told her she must be sacraficed to a sea monster.

Right when she spoke a monster rose from the sea. Perseus pulled out Medusa's
head out of the wallet and the sea monster turned to stone and crumbled to peaces.
Perseus cut Andromada's chains and took her to her father King Cepheus of
Phoenicia. When perseus asked Andromeda's hand in marriage Cepheus gladly
agreed. So perseus- with Andromedia in his arms flew off to Seriphus.
