Ayşe was a girl who loved animals. She walked to school everyday and fed the animals on the road.

One day she had her breakfast and left home to go to school. It started to rain on the way to school.  She saw a shivering kitten there. She took the kitten in her arms and went to school.

Ayşe and her friends dried  the kitten with a paper towel. The cat got warm inside the classroom. It was watching around when the children's curious eyes were on him. At that moment the door was opened and she was Mrs Elif who came into the classroom.

The children settled down. Mrs Elif didn't notice the cat. Just as she started the lesson, there was a sound 'meow'. She looked around and saw the tiny cat.

Mrs Elif was very surprised. She asked how the cat could have come to the class. Ayşe told what she had been through.

Mrs Elif was glad and thanked Elif for being sensitive to animals around her. She said  people should protect and respect animals.

Tuna raised his hand and added:

-Because animals have right to live. They are not able to talk so we should help them. We should feed them. I always feed the animals around my house.

That moment Eda told:

-Me and my father saw a little dog while we were on the way back from shopping. It was cold and hungry.

 We found a box where we could place it. We gave him milk. Then we took him to an animal shelter. It wouldn't be cold and hungry any more.

Nehir and Nimet-the twins-raised their hand excitedly:

-This summer, we went to the facility where caretta carettas were cared. The satff healed their wounds on their shells in a large pool. They healed one of the huge one and left it into the see.

 They have eggs on Alanya coast. Every year we keep watch with our family to protect them. Do you know that new born carettas have difficulty in reaching the see?

The hawk is a predator of turtles and they have to be careful with predators and sea waves. Turtles are green and live on land and sea. They are very cute and eat grass and small animals, like shrimp. We have to take care of nature, because their home is nature!

Sena raised her hand and told:

-I gave cat food to cats that lived on streets with my friend Ela. We had fun. My father who saw my love for animals, told me that I could own a cat for my birthday.

Musa said that he went to his uncle's farm last summer and saw a lot of animals there. He said it was a lot of fun to feed the new born lambs in particular.

Berre told:

- There are many animals in our city-state. They walk next to us on our way to school. My friends and I give them bread and milk.

The cat that Ayşe brought into the classroom was a member of the school after that day. The children all together built a dog house in the garden. Both teachers and students fed him. Tiny cat found a home to himself where he was loved.

One day, Kate and John together with their class asked the teacher if they could build bird feeders beacuse it was cold outside. The children prepared various materials and wood. Together with the whole class, they built small houses which they hung on trees in the school garden.

With the help of adults, they put bird seed inside there and often checked whether the birds had food. There were more and more birds in the bird houses every day. All pupils and all birds were happy.

Javi and his friend Angel went for a walk when they saw a hawk bird. It was on the floor, it seems to be hurt, then they realized it had a broken wing. 

They took the poor bird and carry to the vet. The vet was very professional because in four days it became a strong and beautiful hawk. So, they took it to the forest and as if it was very grateful it started squawking and flew away.

Mrs Elif told the students;

- Animals are our best friends. They don't ask questions or criticize. They love us for nothing. They live defenseless on the streets because we occupy their habitat. It is our duty to love and protect them.
