Norbert was born in Elma, Iowa on July 19,1947.

Norbert had a simple and quiet life. He spent less time with technology and more time outside with friends and family. Every Sunday he would go to his grandparents house and play softball in a field. The biggest thing to look out for while playing out in the field were for cow patties.

Norbert's greatest childhood memory was being raised on a farm.

Getting up at 5:30 AM every morning to milk 26 cows and coming home from school to milk the same 26 cows was Norbert's most disliked chore.

Norbert attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School for grade school. He also attended Crestwood High School and graduated from there.

Norbert's Industrial Arts teacher gave him the love for working with wood.

Norbert admires President Eisenhower because Eisenhower was a common man, a military leader, and a farm boy.

Norbert chose the field of work he is in so he can still work with people in the military.

The First time Norbert met his wife was when he was at a hay mound at a friends. Him and his friends were building forts with the hay when Roxanne came to visit. The second time Norbert saw Roxanne was at the bowling alley. He was bowling with her dad while she was reading a book.

Norbert was home on leave from Korea. Him and Roxanne were in the car when he proposed to her. She said yes.

To Norbert, love feels like waking up next to the most beautiful wife, traveling with her and the kids, and just spending time with family.

As a parent, Norbert finds having grandchildren and watching them and his own kids reach their goals rewarding as a parent.

If Norbert got the chance to raise his family differently, he wouldn't change a thing except for spending less time at work and more time with the family.

Norbert's proudest moment was when he reenlisted in the army at Arizona memorial at pearl harbor. this was his last time enlisting.

One of his best decisions that he made was joining the active duty in the Army.

The most riskiest and exciting thing Norbert has done was drag racing in his father's 1963 Chevrolet Bel Air. Norbert also experienced rolling his own car.

Some major goals in Norbert's life were retiring from the military, being able to continued as a Contract for the Department of Defense. He also has a goal of being able to take his wife on a cruise to Alaska. Lastly, he wants to see all of his grandchildren grow up into adults.
Now, some of his small goals is to retire from his current job, complete all of his projects in his workshop, go golfing with his wife again, and to visit all 50 states.

Norbert's biggest fear is losing his kids, grandchildren, and his wife. He wants to be able to spend time with his family and watch them grow.

One of his biggest regret is not standing up from himself when he should have.

If Norbert won the lottery, he would first go berserk, then he would help out his children, take care of his own house, and then he would give some money to charities.

He likes to spend his free time working with wood, working on the yard, and other projects around the house.

His most defining moment in his life was the day he married his beautiful wife, Roxanne.

The advice he would give teens is not to just volunteer for the military. Do it for a reason.
