This is dedicated to my Grandma Sandy, I Love You!

Sandra Kay Hill was born on December 16th, 1944 in Lincoln Kansas. Sandra, better known as Sandy, is the youngest out of her siblings, Gale and Marilyn. Sandy is the only one still living.

Sandy grew up in Salina Kansas except for in 3rd and 4th grade when she lived in Nebraska. She had 2 pekingese dogs when she was a child. When she was 9, her mom spanked her with a belt and she got welts. She told everyone her mother beat her and that was her most vivid childhood memory.

When Sandy started working she worked at her mothers restaurant named Whimpy's and she made $20 a week. Her biggest regret in life was not taking a scholarship she received to go to college, and instead getting married. Her first car was a 1960 pink Nash Rambler.

Her role model growing up was her mother, she was a single parent and worked hard to provide Sandy with what she thought she needed throughout her childhood. She said that her mother was her strict parent and enforced the rules.

Sandra got married when she was 17 years old. She had her eldest son Jamie at 18, and her younger son Rich at 19. She met her husband Jim while she was working at her mothers restaurant.

When Sandy was a teenager she used to drive Santa Fe with her friends to pass time. Her favorite subject in school was typing and free hand. Her very first bestfriend was Phillis Trail.

If Sandy could visit anywhere in the world where she hasn't already been, it would be London England. She wants to see the architecture and the way people in England live.
Sandy's most embarrassing moment was in Jr. High, she was outside at recess and got hit by a baseball in her rear end. The ethics she has lived by have made her who she is today.

Sandy's favorite color is red. Her all time favorite song would have to be Ladies of the 80's.

Her hardest point in her life was when her and Grandpa Jim almost got divorced. Sandy always said she would never get divorced once she married because it was wrong to do to the kids.

Sandy's most proud moment was the birth of her two sons, Jamie and Rich. She gave birth to Jamie on May 1st 1963 (The same day Grandpa was born, just 21 years later), and Rich on May 14th, 1964.

If Sandy could give any advice to teenagers it would be to always treat others the way you want to be treated. She would also tell them to remember that there are two sides to every story.
